Got the AGM Batteries installed. I went with Northstar X2 Power Premium Group 65 AGMs. They have 930CCA. I have an Odyssey in the Xterra that was bought before Odyssey was acquired by Enersys and it has been running amazingly well for years and years. Hopefully these are just as long lived. I...
Yeah, great add to the list. I am really trying to get a handle on everything I need to do so I can tackle it at once. AGM batteries go in this afternoon! Great to know about the bushing on the clutch pedal. That one was definitely NOT on the list. I'll have to do some digging.
Well she has new shoes... had a lot of debate around this one. I know that most folks have not like BFG TA KO2 on these rigs and a lot of folks trend towards Toyo. In my neck of the woods, a lot of ranchers still run old school M-55s for example. In the end, I went with Falken Wildpeak A/TW3...
Yeah, it goes into DK Diesel up in Bellingham for a complete work up. They’ve done a number of projects for other expo folks including some mega cab extension/super single setups.
Work starts in earnest tomorrow.
Well after years of driving compact trucks and SUVs, my growing family necessitated the need to get something bigger. While we still have the 2011 Nissan Xterra Pro4X with manual transmission of course, I started looking several years back for something that would comfortably haul my family and...
Just bought a 2000 F350 7.3 and you have given me a lot to chew on. I have two little kids and can’t be breaking down in the field. Going to be an adventure going through this thing I imagine.
I always pack extra fuel and water in the Steens/Alvord Desert area. That is not a place you want to run out of either if you are heading off the beaten track at all.
One of my favorite areas!
Two forward facing for me... we're in an Xterra Pro 4x now and have been shopping gladiators pretty hard because I am leaning towards something like an Alu Cab camper topper and still desperately trying to hold onto my youth and a manual transmission. Truth be told, I would probably be better...
Leg room according to the states is 36 inches vs the 38 in the Gladiator. What I don't know is if that is measured with seat fully extended back or set fully pulled forward. Like you, the rear leg room could be a deal breaker.
What did you all think of Bronco debut this evening? Seemed to out Defender the Defender and out Wrangler the Wrangler. Obviously news is going to trickle in for some time and we won't see these things for nearly a year, but on the surface this checked a lot of my boxes for my next vehicle...
Yep, knock sensor relocation is really only a big deal for the SC motors. The 3.3 is bulletproof as long as you do the timing belts like everyone else mentioned. 87 octane fuel is fine. You can run 265/75/16 or 235/85/16 without issues or rubbing or even a PML. I did for 8 years. Bought brand...
I should have clarified. When I said standard, I was referring to it being the defacto bolt pattern used by Nissan for these vehicles.
You're totally right that it isn't a standard, more widely used bolt pattern and it is a major pain in the ***. What I wouldn't give for a 6 x 5.5!
How well...
I just stumbled across this thread. What a fantastic trailer. I literally have the same year and color pro-4x xterra. I've been looking at a few options up here in the rainy NW and this seems like a great fit and certainly better than a TD. Out of curiosity, since I didn't see it asked, what is...
It does seem pretty flexible. How was the slide out kitchen setup?
I'm interested in it, simply because I have a couple of little ones. I can use out the tip out bed module and still have the mattress setup on the ground. I can also haul two kayaks on the rack in addition to the two on my...
I guess it depends on what kind of capability we are talking about here, lol. In order to get the height you want, you are looking at probably 90-100 inches including rack if you go for that option. Personally, it just seems over tall for me considering the target market here is tear drop, not...
The problem is that in order to get full standing height, you are dealing with full size RV height. You lose any capability offroad at all. I look at the Intech stuff as a compromise. My wife and kids can stand up, but in reality it is a more functional teardrop and toy hauler.
