Thanks for the heads up guys. Not sure how I missed that previous post about the shrinkage issue. Really looking forward to this product as well and am excited to see pictures of the production product.
I wouldn't count on it... you need to jailbreak the iphone to get it to pair up with a bluetooth GPS (http://www.roqy-bluetooth.net/wp/) and I imagine it will be the same with the iPAD since the GPS in the the iPad is A-GPS and the apple ecosystem is so closed.
The other option will be a gps...
Martyn,
What model year did you test on for development of the product if you don't mind me asking?
I know the product is set to debut shortly and after going through the thread I know that roof racks were not at all part of the plan. However, is glass on top thick enough to support even basic...
Great to see a hardbody build!! Had 3 of those trucks through the years... all were great rigs!! Guess the frames were really rustprone in 94-95, which was never an issue in Oregon as we do not salt our roads... looking forward to this build!
Have a quick question about attachment of the top. I know that the mechanism used to attach the freedom top changed in 2009 from previous years. I have no idea if Flippac is utilizing he same latching mechanism or something proprietary. So the question is will the JK FlipPac be compatible with...
and here I was hoping that the had improved the defroster, made the plastics less scratch prone and changed the cargo layout so the seats folded completely flat, lol.
Which gets me back to the reason I stumbled upon this thread in the first place... any idea what these "improvements" are to the interior of the JK? In the market currently and have some pretty good deals lined up. Keep hearing conflicting things about the new 3.6 making it into the JK this year...
Not sure how I missed this thread, but clearly coming to the party a little late. I have had quite a bit of experience with both roots type eaton setups and various turbo setups through the years, both factory and aftermarket.

I've ran BFG AT KOs, BFG KM, and the Open Country MT has been a great tire... like other have stated though, very heavy. The do wear like iron though and have been a great tire overall. We run them almost exclusively on all of the Dodge Diesel fleet vehicles and the weight isn't an issue there...
Jeff,
As always absolutely amazing work... you truly are a master craftsman in every sense of the word. I definitely look forward to seeing how this plays out and truly hope they make it to market... they look great!
The LJ and Scrambler ones are my favorite, just because I think that the...
I would be all for this... had several hardbodys, have a first gen xterra... great rigs, bulletproof. As much as I would love the new powertrain of a gen 2xterra or frontier, I am like the actual size of the 1st gen. Give me something about that size with a small turbo diesel getting high...
Not sure how in the hell I missed this thread! Great product Martyn. In my albeit brief perusal of the thread, I didn't see pricing mentioned for the JK model? Also, you have a couple left?
I love this product and think you will sell a number of them if you actually put it into further...
The ONLY reason it is expensive is because it is a diesel. I have seen diesel models going for up to $6500 in the PNW. I have absolutely no idea why. It is too bad the trooper wasn't a bit more mainstream for a diesel conversion. I see clean versions going for $500-$1000 all of the time. I had a...
I went with this debate too and ended up with an 04. If you get one try and get one with 4.10 gearing and a 5 speed. People say they are slow and to be quite frank, I do not see it at all. Certainly isn't the race car the 4.0 in the 2nd gen is, but it does great. Indestructable axles compared to...
