Interesting. On paper it would tow my travel trailer.
But, as it's still a physically smaller vehicle with a much shorter wheelbase than my supercrew long box, I'd worry about the tail wagging the dog...
I would've preferred the Jeep Shortcut concept. JK cut down to CJ dimensions. 5" shorter than a JK...

So, I thought of another option for you. Refuelling may be difficult unless you carry a bunch of your own fuel.
But, many moons ago I almost bought a late 90's 3/4 ton diesel Suburban 4x4 that was converted to run on waste veggie oil
Maybe that is an option? I honestly couldn't tell you what...
Yes, they are fuel efficient however, if the goal is to use them for towing / hauling purposes I understand their payloads are on the lower side. So something to be mindful of. Never seen any door stickers so when I've read 'low' it's not been followed up with any context.
Not sure what your budget is but what about something like a VW ID Buzz, Rivian, Lightning or EV SUV and pack up a ground tent?
Maybe something like a trapper tent could offer lots of space?
If you can wait a bit, the upcoming RamCharger is an EV pickup with a gas generator range extender...
It was a great thread. Too bad he didn't start a new thread for the vehicle he last posted about.
Really one of my favorite threads that was posted here. Too bad he's one of the many we don't see here anymore.
For sure. Just figured all thing being equal the price discrepancy might continue in the used market. Provided you are comparing trucks of a similar year, equipment level, condition & mileage.
All 3 are good trucks. I'd drive each and see what fits best. If possible, maybe take each one out...
Not sure if it'll help you, but I seem to recall @Dr Moreau having issues with his carb at elevation. Link to his Wagoneer thread below.

From poking around the
Around here anyway, the GM's seems to go for a fair bit less.
All of these are mid level (XLT / LT / Big Horn) gas pot 3/4 tons. I added a few mod cons but kept it equal - heated seats, tow pkgs, sport pkg (sport pkg is required to get heated seats on the Ford.)
Not all of them do. I think it's like a $200 add on to select 'Auto Trac' when ordering. Guessing it would most likely be the mid / higher trims that will have had this feature selected. If I was in charge of ordering vehicles at a GM store, for $200 it seems like a no brainer to add to a 60K...
