    Short Bed vs. Long Bed

I bought a crew cab short bed with the intention of getting a new popup camper. I decided to save some serious money and go with a used camper. The number of campers that will go in a short bed is like 1 in 4, at least what I have seen listed on Craigslist ect here in New England.

    Racks

Those look slick, anymore pictures of the last one that shows the whole thing? What's it made of, and what did you bend it with? I am about to either get a cap for my Ram 2500, and build a rack for it, or just build A frame that hold a rtt and 2 kayaks.

fuel economy of RAM V6 with 8 speed trans

I think the idea of the Ram 1500 deisel is cool , but I wonder who the market will really be? It appears that the majority of people buying diesel trucks either want a lot of tow capacity or just want a big deisel truck, neither of this things will be provided by the 1500. There are probably some...

Looking at a new Dodge, help me decide!!! (Power Wagon vs Cummins)

Mr. 87- if you go with Carli coils and the new control arms ect, will the stock shock have enough travel? Don T said I would get more movement out of the front axel, but I don't recall the increase from stock( will be different between your PW and my non PW) Sent from my Z10 using Tapatalk 2

Onboard Air - Keep Compressor On and Tank Full?

Unless you depressurize the tank every time you walk away from the truck, I don't see what hazard is being reduced by turning it off(from the sounds of things it's already off and you are just turning the switch off so it can't start the next time you turn the key ) Does the tank remain...

How a tool should be made!

That was really cool! tho is does amaze me that people with that much talent risk their eyes by not wearing any kind of eye protection, it's not 1790 anymore.

    RTT for us....larger people

I would be more worried about the cap. 3 people plus a dog is easy over 500, could be easy over 600 depending on the dog :), not counting 150-200# for the tent and rack. I have been researching the same thing, most caps are rated less than 200#, but this is a load moving down the road at 70+mph...

Looking at a new Dodge, help me decide!!! (Power Wagon vs Cummins)

Mr 87- even I am getting a bit upset about the amount of issues you are having:) I told my sales guy that if I start having that kind of problem, my truck is going thru the showroom window :) My 12 2500 non PW has a clunk too, not willing to say driveline until I empty all the gear and tools out...

    Looking for tall skinny tires

Montereyman- I think we can assume that the OP is driving on a snow covered road, and is looking to cut thru the snow to the asphalt or dirt. Not drive a set of 44s aired down to 3 lbs on a trip to the North Pole, so skinny tires would be a good choice.

Custom galley switch and power panel

That's really cool. Looks factory. I am pretty good at fabbing up stuff like that, but I always have to go with a brushed aluminum(raw aluminum)or black rattle can finish, and I am never happy with the end result.(even tho others say it looks nice) I will definately be using those guys in the...
