Saw this in East Lyme Ct at a fireworks show on the 4th, just curious about it- lots of ads, figured either a business or sponsered.

I have a 2012 Ram 2500 hemi. I routinely get 15 back and forth to work(state roads) and close to 17 on the highway doing 68ish.
You may find a gasser 2500 meets your needs cheaper than a Cummings

If it's the one I looked at, it's a bit scary to think about loading it up. I don't believe there is a single weld in the whole thing, just rivets and screws.
Probably worth the $$, but wouldn't trust it for much.

I thought about building something like that, didn't realize anyone sold a kit. Too bad they don't show the mechanism details. Thx for the link

Unless you already have the popup, I agree that you would be better off buying a hardside. Adding a top to the popup would be heavy and not very strong as the sides don't connect from the roof to the outs.(part that sticks out over the bed)

I think it's 8800 gvw with 2345 payload, the crew cab eats a lot of payload. When I first got the truck I drove it like I did my 2010 1500 with a 4.7(a bit fast off the lights ect) I was barely getting 13mpg. I slowed it down just a bit. After playing around a bit I found the sweet spot at just...
You can spec out a F150 Eco boost with a pretty decent payload(I think it was 8200gvw has over 2000#) but odds are good the sales people( even when you call ford 800#) wont have a clue how to do it( least that was my experience). The problem for me was price, you very quickly get into 250, 2500...
That taco version looks really cool. I looked thru the thread for a ball park weight? I was a Toyota guy most of my life, and none of them had very big payloads ( except a 2wd long bed reg cab.) I'm not a weight cop, but like to be within spec +- a few hundred :)

If it was on the east coast I would be all over that camper :)
Jump on it before it moves, although being in the truck camper spawning grounds I would think that you would have lots of choices. Seems like half the campers I see for sale are in that area.
