    The Status of Overlanding Today

He'd fit in with all the people I see during my daily commute in the dead of winter still cruising around with their RTT's mounted up with their Rotopax's & maxtrax. (I see the same kitted out vehicles every day)

After 8 years in a full size, moving back to a mid-size - Recommendations?

I keep mentioning to the better half that even better would be to move somewhere warm where it doesn't snow..

What about Draisaitl and McDavid? Hyman that's been playing pretty well lately. Huh. Maybe we ought to start a new thread to discuss hockey so we don't clog this one up.... :ROFLMAO:

We've got a ways to go to improve enough to head to the playoffs. If we can't win the cup, I'm hoping an original 6 team will win, haha

Or like this if you have a camper on it: Pretty sure how that's how me and my sister rode when we went camping. Don't think that's legal anymore....

But how are you gonna haul the grand kiddos around in a reg cab? Gotta take them camping and show them a world without screens and how build a camp fire, fish etc...

Maybe... We just beat the Flames. Not like that was a great accomplishment... 🤪 I think we're still 2nd last in our division. I actually like the new 24 Ranger. Haven't driven one so can't comment on the transmission. If I didn't need the towing capability, I'd def look at a Ranger or new...

With the way they've been playing so far this year, that would get me chased off crown land, haha For sure. For a DD that can still tow or haul a Lariat 2.7 with auto 4WD would be great for crappy winter roads. Probably better on gas than a few of the midsize trucks too.

I think the province would have an issue with me cutting down trees in a provincial park. You're only allowed to cut trees in specific areas and you need a permit here. I also prefer burning dry / seasoned wood. So, I'd have to locate deadfall.

I get that. Doubtful I'll ever find a garage up here in the city to house my supercrew 6.5 bed. I've found a snow rake helps make brushing snow off the truck easier though....

Same. But now on occasion I'm smacking into my 1,777 lb payload limit.... I like to bring a lot of firewood, haha

I thought that was just compliments to the chef? Or they don't care. Maybe Bimmer does a lot of leases? Lease till the warranty is up then bring it back for another? Who knows. Doesn't seem to stop them from selling cars. Not sure if there's still a huge backlash over the subscription for...

    Ford ESP non-horror story....

Yep, over the duration that we've had warranty I've always gotten my money out of it. It's kind of like paying for preventative maintenance. You just don't know what repair your paying for yet, haha

If the glass was half empty, I'd ask the barkeep to top me back up!

John Hughes and John Candy. Classic combo. Weren't Uncle Buck, Planes, trains and automobiles and the Great Outdoors all John Candy / John Hughes movies? They were all fantastic, that's all I know...
