I have never heard of a license for CB, but that may be true…I know I don't have one and I use CB from time to time,
The Morse code is true though. The licenses have been consolidated and revamped recently (actually a while back now..man I'm getting old).
For example, when I got my...
As others have said, it is opposite, you need a license for HAM (short wave), but CB requires no license. CB is more common out there simply because anyone can get one and install one, however, HAM is becoming more and more popular, esp in this particular area. CB is fine for vehicle to vehicle...
haha thanks guys, I appreciate it, just hope its of some help on your own builds
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I am running standard NMO mount for the ham on the front bumper (just drilled a hole into the top of one of the "wings" for it.... and a regular bulk head mount for the...
Not sure when you are planning Whitney, but conditiosn are nice up there right now, I just ran up real quick last weekend. you only have one more weekend before quotas go into effect though.
Love my Snowpeak LiteMax Ti...weights nothing but throws a LOT of heat!. Works well all the way up to 13000-14000ft, though it does take a bit longer to boil water up there, but that is to be expected. Has works great in strong winds as well.
Backcountry nav and Copilot live for turn by turn. I run them on a galazy 7" tab so I can use multiple memory cards if need be, but to be honest, I have never needed too. I have half of California (4 duiffernt map styles) loaded as well as a lot of mexico and baja, works amazing. Why would you...
I get this and agree, however, I would opt to equalized all the rebar, much like we do with climbing anchors. Why did you chose to attach to the first one and connect them in series? Seems you could zipper them that way to me
LOVE my engel, the plastic ARB latch is what steared me away (engel has metal). however, they both have pros and cons. The Engel does not have its own built in light which the ARB does, so I guess take your pick on what is important to you, they are both great units.
Hey Paul, I just shot you a PM, but figured I would answer here incase anyone else has the same question:
Hey Paul,
No, the tires really do not rub, the ONLY rubbing I see is at FULL lock (right or left), the inside of the tire rubs slightly on the frame near the rear. Not enough to catch the...
That is true, the seats are better i forgot that. Actually MUCH better. I hated the seats in my base 05 that I used to have....Id stil get base, upgrade the seats later and throw in an ARB if i were to do it over again.
I went TRD sport....the only thing that is still TRD sport on my truck now is the stupid hood scoop..EVERYTHING else (even the color matched trim) has been changed.
I would go clean slate.
Looks very nice! I'm a bit dissapointed though, the hoop makes the 240s fit in nicely, so they dont look as silly anymore. Now I wont laugh quite as much everytime I see the giant things HAHAHA.
