Next was the deck plate mod. Seemed like a simple and cheap way to get a little more air while still leaving an option to seal it off. As it arrived in the mail removed the airbox, Cutting the was PITA without proper tools but I made it work.

First thing I did was the always HOT 12v mod. Just pop the hood and pull the relay/fuse box cover and locate the 12v plug relay. I just copied others and used a jumper to connect the 2 bypassing the relay. most used mod yet!

I agree, it all comes down to your personal preference. It doesnt sound like you enjoy long trips in the Jeep and I would agree the soft top and interior space would be my biggest concern. In the end its your choice, If you can handle its draw backs then by all means go for it, but if I was you...

I used my ft60 with a mag mount but that got old after a while. I love the clean look of my ft7900 mounted with a through the roof antenna. I love your rig though.:victory:

Your not really going to find a vehicle with the capabilities of the cruiser 80 that gets over 20mpg. You can compromise like the solid front end and open your prospects but you will either need to go smaller or get like a pricey hybrid sequoia or something but I dont know anything about those...

HAHA yea its hilarious how they throw a few billet parts and some " new technology" and charge such outrageous amounts. You could buy a bunch of p7 LED's from dealextreme and it would be way brighter for less. You could buy a whole new shock works bumper for that price lol
