    High mileage engine

There's all sorts of refreshing available for that motor and many others, but before you invest a penny do a leak down and compression tests first to determine the actual condition first. This will help narrow down the needs of the motor, if any I'd be more concerned with the transmission...

ARB Fridge question - Is it running too long?

Please rephrase "solar generator" to solar system. Because you're not making solar, you are harvesting .

Let's discuss the on board water storage setups.

I can squeeze every drop in and out of my current tank, I got lucky somehow... lol As for splitting the pump duties, I've got a little submersible pump that would handle sink duties. Easy done. Thanks for the thoughts!

Let's discuss the on board water storage setups.

Thanks for the great replies so far! I'm not easy on water unless I need to be. When I'm far from water I am like a camel lol. But I have filtered stream water before to use. That was awesome. And filling my tank is nothing more than sticking a hose in the hole hahah

Let's discuss the on board water storage setups.

I'll start with my simple setup. 21 gallon fresh water tank under my bed, just off center, just forward of the axle of the van. A simple screw on camco filter, Shurflow 4008-101-A65 into the Eccotemp L5. You might think that's pretty big or good, but being a full timer it can go pretty quickly...

    OT: Van Pricing

Buying stuff is easy for me, I know what I can afford to spend on that item, so I shop for things that are aprox 20% higher and hope the seller can meet my offer which isn't my max but usually purchase lower than my limit. As for selling stuff I almost always get my asking price, even if it...

    Draft of electric layout

Everything on at the same time? Might as well get a 5k generator, 6 outlet surge strip and an extention cord. Simple and effective.

    No standing headroom: Deal breaker??

Imho I think it depends on the type of usage. My first 3 E350s had the standard roof while being EBs. My fourth and current is also an EB but with a fixed fiberglass hightop with just barely enough headroom for my avg 5ft11 to fit in the middle walkable area. My uses for the the first two...

    Increasing towing capacity

As far as I know you can't legally upgrade the towing limits. You might be able to pull one over on a cop but as mentioned in event of a serious mishap you might not get out of it so lucky. I would take the advice and hire someone to do it for those few occasions a year you need it done...
