I'm on the east coast and did the cooler with ice thing for about a year. I've been in the mountains with heavy cover to the beaches in Florida and I finally gave in and got myself an Engel mt45. Best decision ever. But disclaimer, I already had 200 watts of solar and a blue sea 7622.

Nearly two years with my eccotemp temp L5 and I have zero complaints... Okay one the mounting location I have it in tends to get blown out in strong winds. But I'll it fix that one day.

You can add it yourself by getting all OE parts from a donor vehicle of the same vintage. I did it and it works as it should.

It's been a loooong time since I sold the XJ, but I was very impressed with the BDS and the XJ. I couldn't have asked for more. Life had other plans for me before I could hit the Rockies :( I did make it to NV tho...

That ladder can hold 400# but you only weight 145? LOL I think it might be overkill haha. But looks ************!

Hrmmm, I left the feet on mine but I built the cabinet to fit my height. Wish I had an answer. I wonder if removing the feet would effect the cooling?
