BFG MT KM2 vs. Toyo Open Country MT

Good exp thus far on KM2s. Side walls might be softer feel than Toyo but my exp has been great; they took a lot of beating on my trip to the Dush Ershim last year, and Rubicon the year before on 33s or 255/85/16s on my Range Rover Classic. No side wall or tire damage on both trips. Soft...

    Wanted: maxtrax

Like em. - Won't tear up your interior, or poss scratch your paint like the alum ones - Works great on the snow when the trail is tore-up/mushy and not passable. There's a review of sand ladders in the Winter 2009 Edition of Overland Journal. I used a pair of Yakima shovel holders to hold...

new with a PAIR of P38's

Very nice! Also keep in mind P38 likes a great working battery (well, most trucks do, but especially P38s, LR3s... all those electronic gadgetries :)). Similar to my 04 DII, electrical gremlins starts to show up with a weak battery. Enjoy!

    Forester: ExPo Subaru Project

Scott, Excellent post. Suscribed! :coffee: My wife and I used to own a 98 Forester when it was first introduced here in the USA; many years of reliability and great family hauler/camping vehicle to the snow/mountains with better mpg (vs our LR) and AWD. Was going to trade it in for 2nd Gen...

BKCowGod's RRC Build Thread (The MechaPenguin)

It could - swap out one of the tires from the rear equal and same thread to front if poss, and see if you still get the binding. Also have you had a chance to drain the fluid from the Borg Warner (BW) transfer gearbox; check out the color, does it smell burnt and any metal particles? Replace...

Anyone remember the US-based Camel 110?

Hi Steve and Folks! Yes, it back in CA legally registered as 1990 Land Rover Defender 110 and labeled Diesel. It was a lot of work; working with a professional importer, FED/DOT, DMV, etc... (Domingo did all the work). 2nd owner helped upgrade a lot of the old compoments including e.g. old...
