    Tacoma Diesel ---- don't wake me up Since the Tacoma and Hilux have so much in common. I wonder if you could get your hands on the Hilux's diesel engine in the U.S.? and if you could how hard it be to install the diesel in the Tacoma? Just a little dream I had.

    Do I buy a 4th gen 4runner or 5th?

    I bought a 2003 V6 4Runner new. It is by far the best SUV I've ever driven. I've been in the auto industry for years and have driven everything -- well almost. I agree with AlexJet I couldn't feel much difference in the V6 vs the V8. The only thing I wish I would have done different is get 4x4.

    This is the best rack I've seen on any forum. I would add two things: 1) a wire mesh floor for the front for more storage. 2) Gussets, just like the bottom for the top for an added tie option. I'm going to buy a Tacoma in the near future and turn it into the best expedition vehicle I can...
