Unique, Capable, Loaded Overland Trailer $10k

A true one-of-a-kind trailer, this trailer began life at a manufacturing company in Tampa, FL we believe in the 60s or 70s. It sat, neglected and rusting until our family saw the potential in building a complete off-grid camping trailer that blends the best of the RV and camping worlds. The...

    Help Me ID my Trailer!?

Hello everyone! Last year I bought a 1946 Willys trailer off CL and dragged it home to Oregon from the CA bay area. The "1946' and "Willys" designations were from the PO in the CL ad: What I do know: 1. There are no grab handles 2. Fenders have been replaced (and are not round) 3. I believe...

It is an absolute blast to run the Rubicon with a trailer. I learned so much. And it was nice not having a Jeep loaded to the gills when wheeling. Sleeping off the ground was pretty awesome too. Now, though like you said, the build is moving more toward an overland rig for forest roads and...

I have dragged my trailer along the Rubicon twice now. As well as some other trips like Moab. My decision to not crawl with it are: Friends: None of my friends have trailers. They get mad when I move slower than they do and need more spotting, then I sleep in my castle and they are on the...

    Espresso Machine in Trailer!?

Thanks. And I know its stupid. But literally my favorite thing in camp is a good coffee. And I make my own espresso at home. So I'd love to find a way to buy a machine that will work. I think your last point is valid, but these machines are pretty robust. I'd look at something like the...

    Espresso Machine in Trailer!?

Hello everyone!!! Building a new expo trailer (M416 footprint). Looking to install an espresso machine. Right now it looks like my options are a massive inverter, or a 12V option. 12V option is REALLY hard to find. I found only one model and its in Australia. And, it's $500. I could...

FS: 1966 M416 offroad conversion trailer (Oregon) Can deliver to MOAB

Imagine going on a camping trip where you have plenty of room in the Jeep. Where you can have a trailer packed and ready to go each weekend of the Summer. I am selling my latest project trailer, a 1966 M416 US Army trailer that has been converted into an off-road /expedition trailer. This...

    Winter 2013 M416 Build Thread

The issue is that the red handles in the pic....they pop out, and then the lid is no longer latched. Trying to find a better way to keep the latches from popping open.

    Winter 2013 M416 Build Thread

Quick question - in the last pic above, you can see the two latches I installed (welded) to the trailer. Problem is that when I hit a bump, they become dislodged. I have them zip tied in the pic, but this is a pain. Any options other than a bungee to keep these in place? Thanks
