Thanks man, Ya its a small lift 2/3 and the tires are 285/70/17 Got it all done last night. It's sitting on 1/4" brackets that are lag bolted to the OE roof rails...

It is sitting on them in that picture and it may get u-bolted to them for a bit, But I have 1/4" thick angle iron that is going to get cut up and make brackets that mount it to the rails in the roof.

I had lots of scrap metal from other projects sitting around for quite a while so I decided to fab up a roof rack. I got the idea Saturday night and started building on Sunday afternoon. I wish I would have started on Sat, then I think I could of had it all wrapped up... Pretty happy so far...

IMO they ruined it by going unibody.... I have an 06 and would not trade it in for the new one. even the wife does not like it. She hates the size, its to small.... ( but then again she had me do a 2" lift and bigger tires on the durango to "make it look right" ) glad to see that they kept...

Did you suck water into the cat? if it is plugged the truck will not start.... Also to check spark it needs to be grounded or inside the head, its best to check with a spark tester. Or pull the plug and place the tip on metal...

I have 285's on mine with no issues ( 1999 XLT ) I am also wanting 315's but I won't try until I get a 3/2 lift

I have a 1999 Expedition 5.4 w/3rd row seats and love it. With 3 kids, you need ALL the room you can get for camping trips. We filled up the wifes 06 Durango on our last camping trip. And now with more gear we will be needing a roof rack. The Expedition has more interior room than the Durango...

Thanks guys! well I am needing tires here soon and I want to fit 315/70 or so (35's) under it and I will need at least a 2-3" lift to fit them. But I want full articulation of the suspension with that lift. SO I am looking at adjustable track bars, sway bar end link quick disconnects, 2" longer...
