Stacktech from Tough Built-New option for camping storage/chuckboxes

As someone who currently uses toolboxes for my kitchen kit, those look really cool. I’m not going to replace anything I currently have, but those boxes have some really great features.

2022 Ford F550 - DIY - Adventure Expedition Vehicle Build Thread

Wow. I used to really look forward to you posts, but now I see you’re just a psychopath.😁 That amount of interior fairing is completely bonkers. Keep up the amazing work! (still looking forward to your posts)

    MIssion Overland Trailer Owners page

@mep1811 Thanks for the reminder on the breakaway brake battery, mine was pretty much dead. I charged that and greased the bearings and swing arm. Timbren recommends greasing every 3000-6000 miles, depending on use. Timbren Installation / Maintenance Manual

You could try ThermoLite board, that was the knock off brand I found. Apologies @escadventure, we’ve hijacked your thread a bit.

Do you have a Composites One near you? I got some Coosa knock off sheets from them when I replaced most of the plywood in our sailboat.

1/2” EPVC (Palight) sheet, painted with Monstaliner. This is a pic from the first build, I don’t have a pic of the newest iteration. Why did you choose EPVC for your boxes instead of Coosa/PU? Do you have a build thread yet?

    Cabinet build materials

Having built two truck beds out of 8020 frame and plastic sheet, I think screw and glued ply is an idea that should not be dismissed. It’s cheap and easy to get, relative to 8020 and plastic or composite. And it’s pretty easy to work with. Sure, non-wood solutions are more impervious to water...

    Cabinet build materials

I’m on my second build using 8020 framing faced with 1/2” expanded PVC. I still use the back of the truck as a truck, so the PVC needs a little help with impact resistance, it’s painted with Monstaliner. My “furniture” is attached to the truck with the bed bolts and the bed rail accessory track.

    Clean/neat Exterior Cable Management

I do, they are awesome folks, very helpful for the non-fab crowd. They have a couple great options for $5-7/ft and the nearest Lowe’s has an okay option for less than $5/ft.

    Clean/neat Exterior Cable Management

I like that, I’ll look into it. Sounds a bit more durable and I still have an excuse to use VHB.

    LiFePo packs in unusual shapes?

Will Prowse on YouTube is a great DIY source, among others. There’s also some thin lithium batteries out there. I think your goal is achievable, good luck.

    Clean/neat Exterior Cable Management

That might work. With the roof being a pop up, those first edge pieces of VHB will see some movement from the cable when the roof goes up & down and also from wind. Do you think VHB will hold that? I do have some of the “good” VHB (5952) around…
