That's not true and the Hemi is a great engine and has been for 12 yrs or so. I know there is no way to convince you otherwise but they are great trucks. I do however hope you find what you are looking for and something you will be happy with.

More HP than a 318/360 Magnum and the 02-07 4.7L but less TQ, and less power than any Hemi ever built. I have nothing against the V6 and it would probably work just fine for a majority of people but it doesn't compare to the 5.7 Hemi. The 8spd transmission is what really helps the V6.

A leveling kit and 285/70s are a good place to start if you have 17" rims. 05 has torsion bars so you could just raise em up a little and be good. Otherwise do as other have said and just use it and see what you need.

Probably because the only way to get the manual transfer case is in an ST/Tradesman or a Power Wagon. I don't think they started with a base model truck.
