    EarthCruiser is closing!?!?!

No one likes this news. However I always felt they were overpriced. There are better options for less money. And the FUSO went away, so the Isuzu was left.

I've been through this with grey market Porsche imports - Too many people lie. The BAR in California just stops you. And they read PDF's and are not technically astute, they just say NO.

Unimog composite camper, should I put rubber between the composite shell and the subframe

Other opinions above- As I said, the attachment points described that altered the composite core by removing the skin would never survive theses conditions. Santa Ana winds – common - Interstate 10 Whitewater to Blythe

Unimog composite camper, should I put rubber between the composite shell and the subframe

The previous post is not good advice for the simple fact most folks won't be able to execute this. Second, the composite panel should not have the core exposed to anything, as it weakens the whole structure. Meaning any cutting away of skins is a bad idea. The weakness in composite panels is...

Unimog composite camper, should I put rubber between the composite shell and the subframe

I've been going through this engineering. Attaching to the subframe should not depend on composite delamination . I'm not sure how others do it. Raising the inner floor to clear bolt heads and 4x4 steel plates below them should be prudent. Then a grade eight bolts gos through the floor and...

Van Prices have dropped big time!

When outfitters build them, they overspend. And they use materials at the highest level of construction. While nice, maybe overkill. Even these get water damaged floors. The new vans are $68k and the interiors should be done for $30k.

    Packaged Financing question.

I think folks must refuse new purchases or overpriced used purchase and be innovative on how to get into something acceptable. I do think $60K is reasonable, although I'm spending a bit more. Go get this one at $69K...

    Packaged Financing question.

Most folks use a 2nd mortgage to do this. The interest is a bit cheaper and you can refinance later. An alternative is Prosper. We were in Page Arizona last summer and in the Wallmart parking lot was six expensive Expedition vehicles. We were lucky to have a chat with some owners. They all said...
