Here you go. These are three of the regular boxes. Two of the high-lids would probably work too.

Overland Journal peaks my interest in rare meats.

The Red Lion in Boulder Canyon (Colorado) has a number of exotic meats on the menu. By the way, the correct phrase is "piqued my interest."

I'm finished with my 80 Series Build!!!

The gas tank appears to be pretty sturdy. It's not that low, but I have managed to bang it on rocks and dirt occasionally. A few scratches and gouges, but no structural damage, even after one pretty good scraping. I don't really do serious rock crawling, just rough trails, riverbeds, old...

Bear safety in RTT's and soft sided campers/tents

Depends on the gun. A high power rifle, 12 gauge with slugs, or a large bore pistol can kill a bear. The noise can also scare them off.

Who would be interested in a 2012 "End of the World" Maya Rally?

From the Daily Mail: "While many people may regard today as simply another day on the advent calendar before Christmas arrives, in Mexico it marks the beginning of a year-long party. According to some interpretations of the ancient Maya calendar, December 21, 2012 signifies the end of the world...

    Anyone fish with furled leaders?

I am a convert to furled leaders. I've used tapered mono leaders, knotted leaders constructed of various weights of filament. I've used braided leaders, I've used other systems as well. For the kind of fishing I do (mountain streams and lakes) nothing works better than furled leaders. Furled...

    High Quality Prints

Resurrecting an old thread to say that I love these aluminum prints. I've done 10 or so of them now, in lots of sizes. I don't think I will go back to paper prints ever. These prints remind me of the old Kodak Cibachrome prints I used to get from slides. Slightly more luminous than paper. I...

Aconcagua - the highest mountain in the Americas.

Still, be careful. Just because it's non-technical (in a steepness sense) doesn't mean it's to be taken lightly. Weather, and the effects of high altitude are still dangerous. Too many people die on "tourist peaks" because they don't take this into account. (Not saying that you didn't...

Martin Swinkels - custom knife sheaths

There is no thread on the welt area. It's closed with glue and rivets. Button stud on the strap seems good so far. I don't like snaps, so this is a better solution for my purposes. Only time will tell how durable this arrangement is.
