Martin Swinkels - custom knife sheaths

Sheath showed up today. (took almost a month to get here from Holland.) I'm kind of blown away by how cool this sheath is. First of all, it looks great. Quality of construction is very nice. Kydex and leather elements are blended into a really beautiful and functional sheath. Knife fits...

    Aluminum tent poles

Only thing better than aluminum poles are carbon fiber, but you won't find carbon poles on a typical tent.

    Bundu Box Review

"They are square, inside and out, easy to pack and can accept tie down straps in many configurations." Merrell Widerness Canyon "New Edition" Review With a long history of the original Wilderness backpacking boot from Merrell there seemed to be a lot of promise for a "New Edition". (Just...

    Awning Recommendations

The Foxwing isn't bad in moderate winds. I had it out a month or so ago in pretty constant 20mph winds, with gusts that were higher. It was staked out pretty well, and did fine. However, I don't think I'd want to test it in winds a whole lot higher than that. There's just too much fabric...

    Awning Recommendations

Foxwing I have a Foxwing awning. I really like it. It unfurls to provide coverage for the entire passenger side and rear of the vehicle. I do a lot of desert camping, so having a big patch of shade is a good thing. Takes about 5 minutes to deploy, and a little longer than that to put it...

    Kermit Chair

Definitely buy the leg extensions. With the extensions, it's a terrific chair. I own 4 of them. I'm 220 pounds, and I fit fine. Best thing about them is how small and compact they are when folded. They do take a few minutes to put together, but with practice, it's pretty quick.

    DSLRS ARE A DYING BREED

Nex-7, now the new Fuji X-Pro1. This really is the shape of things to come (and I like it.) http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2012/01/04/the-new-fuji-x-pro1-details-yep-fuji-is-in-this-to-win-it/

    DSLRS ARE A DYING BREED

I think he's right. Leica has already fit a full frame sensor into a mirrorless camera. If they can do it (and their R&D budget has to be just a fraction of that of Canon or Nikon) then others will surely follow. With current technology, there really isn't any reason to have a mirror in a...

    Delorme InReach pricing announced

Received the new device. This one seems to work. Paired and connected with my Android just like it should. Have tried it multiple times, and it seems to work well. Got my fingers crossed that it will continue working.

Anyone use an Autohome Winter Hood for their RTT?

Sent it back on Tuesday. As I said on the phone, I suspect my problem is that I'm trying to put a Maggiolina hood on a Columbus. (or maybe I'm just too dumb to figure it out.)
