Portable Propane water heater inside RV

If I remember correctly a small tankless unit burns 30k BTU. Your typical dometic stovetop probably outputs less than 4k BTU per burner. So even when running all your burners you are burning way less than the tankless heater. Get monitors and alarms for any inside propane use and be sure to...

Snow peak baja burner on propane tank. Anyone done this yet?

Propane works so much better in cold weather than isobutane mixes. Great mod.

    Repairing ripped tarp roof

Around the grommets? On canvas you'll have to cut off the offending corner and have a new corner sewed on with a new grommet. Not a hard thing to do for a competent shop except matching the color and texture of the fabric. I'd suggest calling Springbar. Their repairs dept is the best in the biz.

WARNING: ARB Awnings & Awning Rooms NOT Weatherproof

What in the heck does this even mean? Of course awnings are supposed to be water proof. I have dozens of tarps and awnings and they are all 100% leak free. If they spring a leak because I manhandle them, I tape them with gear aide and they go on and on for years with nary a whimper. Of course...

Not very safe buying things here

Phone number + address + actual phone call or no dice on remote purchases. With those three things there is no fraud possible. You can verify anybody in the country with that info in this day and age.

    SOLD - 2021AEV GLADIATOR - 11k Miles - ALUCAB OVERLANDD

Best deal on Expo right now at 85k IMHO. GLWTS. Don't listen to the weenies. Pretty sure it's a VIOLATION to beat up a poster on pricing on this forum thread. It's also just ugly and a bad look. Keep your garbage to yourself.

Sounds like Stellantis is on the right path.

Gears, they are good. My mid drive E Bike is amazing because I can run through the gears and keep the electric motor in happy rpm land. Electric motors require rotation to keep the coils cool. I've ridden hub drive ebikes and they bog down and overheat bad on real inclines. Night and day.

    Owyhee Canyonlands Changes

These lithium mine and solar farm proposals are amazing to me. Destroy massive swaths of environmentally and culturally sensitive usually desert land. Draconian open pit mines, using huge amounts of water resources and all the attending poisoning of groundwater. Panels that are all made in China...

Sounds like Stellantis is on the right path.

Devil is in the details. I'm hearing lots about towing torque etc. Even electric motors don't like to run at almost stall speed. Say you are in a situation that requires low range. Electric motors get hot at near stall. That's why the best electric bikes still run through your gears with a mid...

    Lightest Camping Wood Stoves?

Check Winnerwell and Ali Express. Lots of options. Some are larger than the truly tiny ones and have good solid features. Glass windows, efficient secondary burn, glass air wash etc. You can rig some of them up to burn charcoal which helps with the small wood and burn longevity concerns. You can...

2012 vintage Ford 6.7L diesel engine? Good, bad, other?

6.7 is a solid platform. It can have turbo issues due to ceramic bearings that were solved by 2014. Fairly simple swap but not cheap. Great tranny. Emissions stuff is an issue but they have those largely under control across every platform now. Just make sure you're running hard and on the...
