    Questions for the IIDTool-saavy

As far as flipping the Vision Assist cameras "switch" on in the infotainment system software is concerned, I am sure the guys at GAP could figure it out quickly - if they haven't already. But, installing the actual cameras, harnesses, equalizers and all related hardware to make them work on a...

Traxide dual battery kit on LR4

Thanks for the heads up on possible corrosion to the TCCM. The module seems pretty safe mounted on that bracket, the connectors are perhaps 1/4 - 1/2" above the floor of the battery compartment, so they should be safe barring a catastrophic malfunction of the supposedly bulletproof Optima... But...

    Internal 2014 LR4 information

US dealers never, ever know anything for sure, often even after a new model has already been leaked all over the place or officially announced and until it is featured on LRUSA's web site. My dealer didn't know anything about packages and options available on my 2013 LR4 when I placed my order...

    LR4 Accessories

That looks like something my own parents would have used to restrain us when I was a little kid... They used to throw me and my little brother in the back seats of their Fiat 124 Sport Coupé over some blankets, then they'd close all windows, start smoking Muratti Ambassadors like **********, and...

    LR4 Accessories

LOL, this is quickly turning into one of those sad "recommended by dad" threads I used to laugh at... before I was a dad, but since we are on the subject, the only high quality convertible car seats that I could fit 3 across on the rear bench of my old 2006 RRS and new 2013 LR4 were the Diono...

smarks, in that case I would love to see some photos of yours. I have a 9 YO girl as well, in addition to the two little monsters... I can relate.

    LR4 Accessories

Chris, could you kindly post a few shots after you fit these in your LR4? I have the same issue (times two, actually... 4-year old twin girls with tiny feet but big dreams of soccer stardom) and my seats and I have been suffering through it so far because I never cared much for seat covers, and...

    Internal 2014 LR4 information

It makes you wonder why Land Rover stuffed the new SCV6 petrol engine, 8-sp tranny and revised single speed transfer case in the current, aging and bloated platform if they were planning to introduce its all-new replacement so soon? Why even bother for one very short model year, let the LR4 die...

    LR3 mystery noises, any guesses?

They need to replace the whole wheel hub - can't replace just the bearings by themselves up in front. I think my local indy charged by about $300 or so - for one hub only - a couple of years ago (parts, labor + tax) for my 06 Sport, a dealer may be a bit more I am sure.

New 19" All Terrain Tire Option?

That's what I thought. Too bad, they look like nice tires otherwise.

    Compomotive Wheels goes into Administration

Well, that sucks. Their wheels were a tad expensive but very well built (Bowler used them in their rally cars) and they looked good, too.

For LR4, thinking of switching to LR3 18"s and have a TPMS question

Don't forget about the new Goodyear Wrangler A/T Adventures that just came out. They are sized 255/60R19, so they have more usable sidewall than the Zeons while still fitting comfortably on an LR4. I realize Goodyear tires don't have a lot of fans out there, but their SilentArmors seem to be...

Overland Journal Project Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4)

There are no problems at all mounting Compomotive PD1880s on the LR4. No spacers are required, the wheels are a perfect hubcentric fit and take the same lugs as the stock rims. Offset is very slightly increased (by 8mm) to clear the front calipers, that's all. Whether your tires will rub in...

    2014 LR4 rolls into view

We'll see how the V6 really compares - I guess nobody has driven a LR4 fitted with one yet - but between that and the deletion of the two-speed transfer case (now an extra cost option available only with the Heavy Duty package, and we all know how easy to find that package is, whether you are...

    2014 LR4 rolls into view

I agree, but sticking a smaller displacement engine in the same 3-ton platform of today is probably not going to save them that much gas, and may make the vehicle feel overworked and underpowered - at least when compared to the V8 LR4 that's been around since 2010. If the change is indeed...
