They know where it will be used and should build it to take a reasonable amount of abuse. Then again, their overpriced solar panel 100W V2 has open USB ports on it and they know darn well it will be out in the rain.

That certainly sucks. Their "refurbished" unit is probably a customer return. How much do you want want for it?

Pop in some platinum plugs and you won't need to worry about it for a long time. It looks like you could get it out with a swivel and back in with a piece of vacuum hose.

Time to get out the hose and find where it is leaking. If isn't a seam then the fabric may need to be waterproofed. If it is coming thru the fabric, I would call CVT and ask what product they recommend.
