Good question. I can remove the box and lift it myself. Same goes for the fridge slide. The cage is pretty light weight. Its hard to say really, probably all in (fridge, cage, slide, drawer, food, gear) maybe 250lbs depending on what I pack?? Canned food and drinks can add up the weight...

Yes also true. Ive had gear move and block the vent and not noticed until i got to camp. This was also one of the reasons to go with a cage instead of a box

One more. I left a little room between the top of the cage and the top of the lid for maybe a cutting board or something.
