Two tanks. (Ford built-in: 40 gallons, 2nd tank: 32 gallons). 2nd tank refills the first tank, starting the fuel pump from a timer. I wrote a full owner's manual which includes: details on parts, how to operate, troubleshooting tips, etc ... The two tanks' description is part of it.

On average I get 8.7 miles/gallon. When driving freeway, I get 9.4 miles/gallon. I made a "bug screen" that is velcroed over the front opening. (image shown over the door opening) :)
