Are the Biggest Tires Possible Worth it on a Van?

But then you're opening yourself to other compromises. There is no perfect way. I've tried about everything. I'm still trying to live with a vehicle that will do most trails I want to do, fit comfortably in one standard parking space, not limit my life from overhead clearance issues (drive...

    1998 Ford E-350 4x4 High Top 50k mi / Hooks, TX

That doesn't sound accurate. I was thinking the spark plug issue was fixed by the early 2000's. I've had 4 V10's though and no spark plug issues with any of them. 98,99,2005,2011. It's the very early years like this one I would worry about and I wouldn't really worry at all, I would simply...

    1998 Ford E-350 4x4 High Top 50k mi / Hooks, TX

If it doesn't get up past a few grand I agree. The good: V10, full float rear, Quigley (could be worse), power cab (CC, PW, PDL) The bad: 1998 V10 spark plug spittin' machine, generator gone, lots of body butchery inside and out.

Apparently it was used for cutting holes in. Big problem with Guvment vans of that era. They were usually used for some sort of stealthy surveillance but you could've fooled me, vans like this stick out like a sore thumb anywhere you plant them.

    Heating a small trailer

Yes, I work in and around commercial trucks and play with campery things incessantly. I've had a CDH, a Planar, An Espar, a Webasto and now a Lavaner in my newest van build. The fuel pumps (mounted outside the vehicle) do click audibly but you can muffle them if they bother you. They don't...

    Heating a small trailer

Chinese diesel heaters are the cheapest, smallest, safest and most economical to run of any permanently (or semi-permanently as Verkstad noted) heaters available these days. I'm not really sure why anyone would go with anything else. They are well under $100 and will heat a small to medium...

Adding Transit seats to Chevy Express cargo van

Should be enough space between floor and tank to accomplish your goal. There is on Fords anyway. I've owned Chevy Express vans but never dropped a tank on one. However, that's what I would do, drop the tank for the job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    3way portable fridge

I've never seen or heard of a top loading 3 way fridge. Why do you need propane? If you, in fact, do need it you're likely looking at only standard RV front door fridges which require big vents in the back (as in holes in your camper). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    NIMBUS HARDSHELL ROOF TOP TENT

Oh, I agree. My post was a little snarky but I kind of meant it and I kind of have to bury my head in the sand on some stuff and just get what I want and enjoy life. If I look too hard I wouldn't be able 1. eat chicken. 2. buy groceries, clothes or electronics anywhere, or of any brand. 3...

    Best sturdy camp table?

Don't park your Lifetime blow molded plastic table too close to the furnace vent on the side of your rig. Ask me how I know, Lol.

Are there no side by sides discussed here?

The freedom to paint an entire user group with the same brush is human, and I'm human, so here goes. And yes I realize I'm in some user groups that are generally hated, like being a white male American, etc. etc. I hate side by sides. Lance couldn't have put it better. They are the Harleys...
