How to clean up my mess?

Since everything has a fuse inline, I'd use BlueSea Buss Bars. You can secure the buss bars to a piece of plywood sized to hold them.

There is an easier way, if your carrying a tow strap or chain. I'll repost a link to a YouTube video on removing a rock stuck between dual wheels. http://youtu.be/DFs7fiYXSzQ

Keep in mind JIM THE TRUCK weights out out at a whopping 14 Tonnes. He was lucky that he was able to limp to a shop with one flat and one aired tire. It doesn't hurt to stop from time-to-time to check for rocks. He admitted he probably drove 100 miles with the rock stuck between the tire...

    Best designed rugged Chuck Box?

That is a good looking box. Thanks for posting the plans. Every time I think about building one, I keep thinking my Rubber Maid totes do the job. I've often left them out in the rain with a piece of firewood on top to keep the lids on. I've done my fair share of camping along-side a vehicle...

    testing the waters

That's a good looking rig there Stu! The steering wheel is on the wrong side or is it the right side....dang nabbit, my head is spinning. I like those surf fishing baskets mounted on the windshield. I bet you've caught some real whoppers driving up & down local beaches.

    4m50 engine sputters

Could the fuel system be sucking in air somewhere? If a bubble of air comes up to the injection pump, it will try to inject it into a cylinder, thus causing a sputter. The smallest of air leaks can cause the system to lose its prime while sitting. Do you have difficulty starting the truck...

Kinda depends how far off the beaten path you intend to go and how extreme the conditions are. Rocks stuck between the duels can be a problem along with the loading up of mud. http://youtu.be/DFs7fiYXSzQ

    Eliminating DEF from a FUSO

It's interesting that you brought that up. RV tour companies that operate from the U.S. and run tours into Mexico recommend not using later diesel vehicles with DPFs for short around town trips once you get there. They recommend running them as much as possible pulling or carrying a load in an...

Isuzu calls their diesel particulate filter a DPD, short for Diesel Particulate Diffuser. https://www.osha.gov/dts/hazardalerts/diesel_exhaust_hazard_alert.html

    Eliminating DEF from a FUSO

What's needed is a cost effective solution where the DPF is made serviceable. So there's no confusion; DPF is the Diesel Particulate Filter and DEF is Diesel Exhaust Fluid.

    Eliminating DEF from a FUSO

If one were to stick with the Pan American Highway though North, Central and South America, at a length of roughly 30,000 miles, 100 gallons of DEF is a quick estimate.

    Eliminating DEF from a FUSO

There was a thread on this site where someone here in the USA attempted to use their DPF delete kit. The result was a lighter wallet and utter frustration. I recall they had to uninstall everything.

    Eliminating DEF from a FUSO

Your post is confusing. Do you have a kit coming for a BMW or for a FUSO? With these SCR/DPF emission systems, one should get their diesel fuel for free. Your essentially driving around an air cleaner. The air being drawn in is dirtier than what goes out the tail pipe.

A dry freight cargo box typically comes with a single sheet of aluminum for a roof. If yours has one, you've noticed by now that they get freaken HOT out in the sun. You might consider applying a white reflective paint to the roof prior to mounting solar panels. Keep in mind, on a HOT summer day...

    Eliminating DEF from a FUSO

I fired off an email to AdBlue this morning asking about availability of their product in SA, haven't heard back yet. Have you been keeping track of your DEF consumption? Has it been about one gallon per 300 miles? If your going to mix your own, you've got to get it right. There's a DEF...

    Eliminating DEF from a FUSO

Welcome back! Looks like you have some new camper build pictures up on your Facebook page. How is the effort coming along? Regarding removal of the DEF system and/or the DPF, don't waste your time and money thinking about it. The hardware and the firmware that controls and monitors the system...
