2000 Frontier (Supercharged) Build and Adventures - Babe the Blue Ox

Man, that sucks. I love this truck! If I were in your shoes, and there was no frame damage, I'd definitely hold onto it, take the payout, and do something cool with it. Flatbead setup would be awesome!

Roofnest Sparrow Eye (2018 Model): New Price $1650, DC Area

I posted some pictures of the tent being used everywhere fron the Northern Cascades to Canyonlands over the past year. The tent has been dismounted, unused, and stored in my garage since I moved to Maryland in May. I can take more pictures upon request. Accepting reasonable offers.

Roofnest Sparrow Eye (2018 Model): New Price $1650, DC Area

*Price Drop 01/20: $1650* Hello, all! I've got a Roofnest Sparrow Eye hard shell 2-person tent for sale in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC. It's a 2018 model, so the new shell design. Purchased in August of 2018 and used about 20 times in the last year. I just moved out here (to Maryland)...

    Aftermarket skid plates or stock?

It really depends on what kind of trails you plan on hitting. After 3 years of owning my X, I opted for a full set of Hefty Fab alluminum skids. Before that, I ran the stock skids through the trails of Southern Arizona and the Pacific North West with no issues. The aftermarket skids were simply...

    Kootenay's Pro4X Frontier

I'm running 1.5 inch spacers on my OME HD coilovers. Have been for a while, it's a great setup. You'll be right at the extent of the downward travel range, but OEM brakelines are still fine. Oh, and you'll need aftermarket upper control arms. I have SPCs.

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

Thanks! I really like the convenience the new tent offers. I can be setup and ready to sleep in 10 seconds, takes me about a minute to pack it up. It is warmer than my soft canvas RTT and about 15 lbs lighter. The largest disadvantage of the new tent is there's significantly less usable space...

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

Decided to venture up to Gallagher Head Lake along the Fortune Creek Trail in the Cascades today. I wanted to get the new pup, my 5 month old Miniature Schnauzer, out for his first off road venture. Linked up with MrBoJangles_91 and another local X owner up at the lake. Archie (the...

Great shots! Why did you opt out of the camper shell? Just trying to get the tent lower?

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

No, not with the tent. I wish! With the tent I lose about 1-2 mpgs of I keep it 60 or below. 2-3 mpgs as I creep towards 70 mph. Another noticable benefit of the tuner is less downshifting on long, gradual climbs at highway speeds. Used to be a big issue with the 285s, now not so much. Much...

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

With the tuner, I’m getting 15-16 in mixed driving. Straight highway I’m now getting 18-19 depending on speed and calibrated for tire size. Yeah, I knew if I went full skids I was going to do aluminum from the get go. The weight savings are real, and I don’t do anything extreme enough to...

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

Well, there’s been a couple of recent updates to the X in the past month or so. My Hefty aluminum skids arrived (and were subsequently installed). I ordered the full set, minus the rad skid. Installed a Bulldog Platinum GT Tuner. Calibrated it for the premium tune, extreme throttle...

    Trixter404's 2011 Night Armor Xterra

The common denominator in your awesome photos comes down to one variable.....me. The more me, the more awesome. It's science, and quite frankly I don't have the time, nor the energy, to explain it any further. Carry on... Now in all honesty, great set of photos Steve. You clearly had a good...

Changed battery, now my alarm/horn/flashers go off at random

Sounds like a poltergeist issue. Good old fashioned haunting. Consider a focused exorcism, or swapping the battery out for one that wasn't recovered from an ancient Native burial ground.
