My son's Dodge 5500 cost 44K. I paid that 3 years ago for a very similar Ford 450. Dodges are flat out cheaper to buy.

    Expedition Full Upgrade JK

I guess someone did not think that the advantages of a Rubicon model was not worthy enough to stay in print. Where you are going I would think that the lower gears and locking Diffs would be something to look into. And do not forget a winch. I am often amazed at the cross country adventures...

    Our GXV Build

Please tell me that there is a 20000lb PTO winch hid somewhere on the rig? If not, I would think that you have greatly limited the places that you would like to take offroad.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Painted my fender flairs. I made a big mistake though. I lightly sanded the fenders first. Every mark from the sand paper shows through the paint. And the paint is blotchy. I put five coats like everyone said to do. Still do not have a consistant layer.

    Padre Island National Seashore

The winds are not bad. Waves were 2 to 5 feet high. The wind was perfect for sleeping three nights. One night the wind calmed and the kids were sweltering in the tent. We were fine in bed next to the window. The locals say that the beach is perfect right now. No bugs, no seaweed, the water...
