How do you transport your fishing rods?

I was looking for this answer, why on earth would you fish from your car/suv/truck?

Unimog composite camper, should I put rubber between the composite shell and the subframe

Interesting, but @IdaSHO has a second. Any licensed, PE's on this thread, anyone who can put some proof of engineering knowledge in their opinions? If I hear anyone mention "thermal bridging" on this site again I'm going to puke! Rubber has always worked for me and it never hurts.

    Mid-size vs Full-size truck setup

Seems an f-350 XL would serve better for the work at hand, especially humping a big slide in.

    Mid-size vs Full-size truck setup

Our camping in the 70's was in Europe, it was the 80's when we'd take trips in the US, most trips included motels, the Ranch outings were the best "outings". It's only been the last ten years we've been traveling and going without kids, mine are grown, I'd bet about your age. :)

    Mid-size vs Full-size truck setup

Sorry to hear your kids have had only a few joys in their young lives that were good for them. Intentionally misstating the facts to support your demented personal attack is simply obtuse, my kids never stayed at home, or can you not read? Boys would rather go to the ranch than go "camping"...

    Mid-size vs Full-size truck setup

I took my boys camping, as I recall, they were most interested in learning outdoor skills around 10 to 12 years old. At 14 they knew it all. @Todd n Natalie As they got older they were more interested in boating and fishing, hiking, riding bikes or a thumper and staying in a cabin or motel...

    Mid-size vs Full-size truck setup

You "parental types" should consider going camping alone as a couple and just take your dog, dogs love to go and drop the kids off at the grandparents place! If kids want to camp out, put them in the backyard. Simple solution, no additional tents, less food, no toys (unless momma wants...

But you have an opportunity to cheat on your OS taxes! Remember, pay unto Caesar what is Caesar's.

    Spare Tire Trash Bag

Army water proof bag, same size as the laundry bag they issued, tied properly it's still water proof and keeps odors in, just toss it in the back, no need to show it off on the back.

PRICE REDUCED! $135k Custom 4x4 Freightliner Overlander

Not really, that was the opening asking price, then it was raised twice, up to $169,000 and now back to $140,000! First post: "Location: Phoenix, AZ (US delivery available for an additional fee) Price: $140,000 (open to reasonable offers - let’s talk!)"

What do you use for a truck gun?

OK, now, I would shoot that. I'd probably use my 12 gauge bullpup, semi auto shotgun with a 20 round magazine, red dot and light attached, but first, I'd have to put on my Army issued flak jacket and vest. Which reminds me, I need to inventory my survival vest and check my ammo.

    Packaged Financing question.

Frankly, all this "overlanding stuff" is just a fad, whimsical toys for big boys that is hyped to take money from the insecure male ego. There is a point at which you reach the absurd. Most anyone can afford some kind of vehicle that can travel over rough terrain or bad roads and that would...

What do you use for a truck gun?

Not entirely, we also rely on internet forums, like this one as well as news shows that claim to be for entertainment only. Lying about your property value isn't illegal, generally, it depends on what you lie about and why. It becomes illegal when your lie supports a fraud to obtain bank...

    Packaged Financing question.

Prosper? What's that? A 2nd mortgage can be a useful personal finance tool, when carefully made, problem is, most aren't careful enough. Understand, you're betting the farm.

    Packaged Financing question.

That's a "Floor Planning" issue in commercial lending, I don't think I'd make a loan to a dealer, (well, that depends on many factors, but not a loan they are use to) but lending to a buyer, consumer, you bet!

    Packaged Financing question.

Collateral is just one part of the lending equation. The first consideration is the ability to repay the debt. Next, is a borrower's history, credit worthiness, do they have a history of paying debts as agreed? Your credit worthiness is measured by your "credit score". There are "Signature...
