Cost might be relative to location. Here in my area, most upholstery shops I've called want around $500/seat. I'd rather pay Coverking a few hundred for a pair.

It's running well mechanically, but I'm going to seafoam it sometime this summer. Not that I want anything to happen, but I'd rather do it to find out issues - if any - and get that repaired. I had my mechanic check the valve seals while the covers were off and he said they looked really good...

Thank you for this. I just had my brakes bled. Light still on. Will drive for a few more days, but looking more likely that I'll try this out and get a new cap and diaphragm.

Just maintenance. I just picked this 97 LS up about a month ago now. Drove it lightly the first two or so weeks and just got it back Monday from the shop after being in there for about a week...and that's when I realized I totally forgot about seafoaming it prior.

I haven't used it in years. The last time was probably on my Previa or Nissan 240sx (s13). I know it definitely helped both. I never was able to scope out the internals but I could hear and feel the difference afterwards.

I miss my 2.5. Not sure if the seats are the same. I'm thinking they are. But now we know that they just need to borrow a donor vehicle for a few hours and they'd be able to manufacture it.

I don't have a price estimate but if they take the measurements, I'm pretty sure they can make seat covers and replacements just like they do for other vehicles. Probably no foam.

Just reached out to CoverKing about Custom Leather Seat replacements. They replied and said if there is a Gen 2 Montero in SoCal that they can borrow for 4-6 hours to take measurements, they’d be able to offer it in about 4-6 weeks. SoCal Gen 2 Montero’s...please help out!

Would you seafoam your Montero right after a major maintenance service and tune up? I was always told to do it right before changing the spark plugs...but totally forgot.

FWIW I just had the major maintenance done on my 97 Montero, which has the 3.5. I’ve noticed a slight drop in MPG too. I’ve only had it for about a month now and went only through maybe a tank and a half as it was at the shop for the last week. Just got it back yesterday and although it runs...

Got all 4 shocks one day earlier than expected. Ordered the fronts on Amazon and the rears on Summit. Going in tomorrow!

Thanks for the fix! I just picked up a 97’ and it has the same story. Brakes are good, e-brake off, light on. I’ll check fluids tomorrow.
