Thanks, that’s means a lot coming from you. You have built a great trailer. Finding the Cherokee bumper was a total accident and a real find. I’ll get some pics together to show how it was all mounted.
Thanks! It’s a Cherokee bumper from a company called Dirtworks. It was only $400. We cut the brackets off, welded new ones on, and are good to go! Also welded the stabilization jack brackets on to the outside as the bumper interfered with cranking. Still need to powder coat.
We just got back from Anza Borrego and the trailer was great! It is hands down the best value for an off road capable trailer. And pulls exceptionally well on road, as well. We are very happy with ours.

If you’re rig is really heavy, you’ll probably be better off with 2.5s all the way around. Partly that will be due to the type of terrain you’re driving. The extra weight will translate into heat. The bigger shock body will be able to better handle that heat for a longer period of time...
Folks, I could use a little help with regard to wheel selection for my Scout. I just finished building it today. I had some JK Safari wheels in my garage that I was planning on using. Unfortunately, the Scout’s hub diameter is larger than the bore diameter of my wheels. The backspacing is wrong...
Nope. If I remember correctly, for the 2017 model year, KDSS was one of the differentiators between Off-Road and Off-Road Premium. Also, the Off-Road Premium that I purchased brand new this summer has All-terrains from the factory. They are not much better than the Dunlops that come on the SR5...
