I got to tour this rig at Overland Expo East. The interior done by this couple is amazing. I believe they have built at last 12 other rigs on various platforms in the past.
I finally got to see one in person at Overland Expo East and was pretty impressed with the look and feel of the demo especially like the steel wheels and use/placement of buttons. A few concerns (besides the amount of markup these units will get when the hit the US) is how the service network...
I have a HQ15 and it might be similar but have you already removed the wood braces? Not sure if you're a member by the BS FB group has great information. https://www.facebook.com/groups/597325343973738/posts/1301071256932473/
Leitner Designs ACS Classic with 1st Gen Gear Pod XL, two mounting plate, and Quick Fist Clamps for mounting shovels, axes, etc. I have modified the Gear Pod XL by adding a carpeted platform. Comes with both keys but the Rotopax and Rotopax mount is not included. The rack is still mounted to the...
I have a HQ15 and in my opinion those sliders are for looks only. In the pic you're showing looks like someone forgot to actually bolt it up correctly on the left side. Also, I reached out to Black Series Campers in the past because they are not doing the current models in justice by having...
I second this. Joe Roamer is not only a great seller but is knowledgeable in the Black Series and McHitch. He'll ask some questions geared towards which Mchitch you'll need and will offer assistance on install (for me it was literally removing four bolts).
I few folks on the Black Series Camper US Group have replaced the shocks that come on the HQ's and have had good results. I want to say the go to Rancho's but check on the group for more information. I'm still on the stock shocks on my HQ15.
Awesome pics. A few places I check don't see I cannot ship to home. I'm on a tight dead end street but have had some freight deliveries and they have pulled up in a semi on the main street and use a pallet jack to get it into my garage :)
I'm considering buying the kit that including wheels/tires but for those that purchased this kit were you able to have it shipped directly to your home or did you have to ship to a nearby freight company and pick it up?
I don't have a HQ12 but but before I purchased my HQ15 I read how poorly the HQ12's towed and outside of having full or empty tanks folks have had good success with telescoping sway control bars. I'd check out etrailer.com or give them a call. It can be an investment as you'll also need to...
Not sure if you're on Facebook but I highly recommend that your join the "Black Series Camper US" group if you have not already as it has a ton of information and the members their are very helpful (Black Series in my opinion, not so much).
The delamination of the wood veneer is a known...
Good luck with the projects and travels. My Thuren track bar arrived earlier this week and once I get some time I'll install it. I actually just pulled the trigger on some Airlift 5000 airbags and daystar cradles. I'm just going to be proactive as I have longer trips planned and some of them...
Ah, makes more sense now but looking at your pics it does not even look like your rear was sagging. I'm nowhere near that payload but it does not take much to reach that so for piece of mind I went ahead an ordered Thuren's rear track bar for my 2020 PW plus I'll get some air bags and cradles...
