I agree, hard to beat a Kodiak tent for what you get. In my opinion if weight is not a factor this is the one to get. Setup takes 20 minutes or less and take down with a stake puller and its bag design is quick also. Did I mention this thing can take some serious wind and rain and stay bone dry...

I agree, I even debated on trying to get it done but it would cost a small fortune to get the molds and production done. I just wonder what a reasonable retail price would be since people including myself was willing to pay $250.00 and up. I figure if you could do it at a retail of around $99.99...

No revamp, because the company sold out to Plano years ago and from what I have heard Plano has no desire to bring this product back. I think that is a mistake since the recent interest in camping, overlanding, etc. You can find ones "like new" on Ebay fairly often but plan on paying for them...

Thanks, I am glad you found it helpful. I hate they stopped making this chuck box or another similar option is not available. They are expensive when you find them but IMO worth the price for what they do.

If you read my earlier comments I make zero money from my YT channel. Matter of fact it is a loosing proposition after all the gear I buy and review. In full disclosure is my channel "monetized"? Yes, it is and I get the occasional product sent to me free for review. However, like I said before...

Thanks, I am glad you found it helpful. The handle addition is a huge help. Some people have put the handle attached to the lid but in my opinion that puts too much stress on the hinges that hold the lid on.

Can even go for a canvas tarp option to have a better quality over traditional cheap tarps.
