After a lot of enjoyment I'm selling my PowerWagon on ExPo. You can see the listing here: https://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/2020-ram-powerwagon-helinomad-build-for-sale-napa-ca-22-850-miles-67-000.244804/
It was a really fun build!
Hello,
I'm selling my babied 2020 RAM Power Wagon with a tasteful custom build. I have ordered an Ineos Grenadier so it's time to move on. My builds are always no-expense spared and I'm pricing this to sell, so I think right off the bat, this is a lot of bang for the buck if you like the...
Just a little bit of a long term update...
Truck is doing great. All the kit has really broken in well and survived some longer trips. So far I wouldn't change a thing.
Plenty of room. I thought it was impossible too but it’s just angle it in there. I didn’t have to do anything except tap it in with a rubber mallet. It comes out easily but if you end up changing a spare on the trail you are likely going to just put the punctured tire in your truck bed...
Nope zero issues and it’s pretty far from the pan hard bar and hasn’t moved. I did have to remove it to run a wire...actully came out pretty easily with a little rubber mallet tapping (okay banging). I drops with it's own gravity. Comes down way easier than going up. Make sure you remove the...
Got the WaterPort installed. Used their drop down bracket and modified to fit the L-track spacing. Works perfectly.

It’s about 6” thick. A couple more with the load bars. Mounting anything is super easy as it has beefy rails top on the top and bottom half of the rack all the way around. They even make an awning that attaches directly to the rack.

Finally got the Area BFE tent on. Wow...the quality is pretty amazing. Coming from soft cover tents, this is totally the way to go. The weight even on top of the rack really doesn't change anything about the behavior of the truck. No additional wind noise...really it's not noticeable. The...
Today I finally get to post an update regarding the rack. A few months ago, I placed an order for my dream rack set up with Nuthouse Industries. They are amazing to work with. Although they have "base models" they are VERY willing to customize the rack anyway you want.
For my set up I...
I mounted the base unit under the driver seat using strong magnets I bought from Amazon. I like this format better than a hard mount which makes swapping the SD card easier when loading new frequencies. The magnets work even through the thick floor carpet. It's a great radio.
Love them really. They are perfect IMO as a step. They don't stick out too far but with the added grip tape they are very sure footed. My 6 year old also doesn't have an issue climbing in and out. I would add the grip tape though...without them in the rain...slippery.
I used 1" material for my build. The 2 3/8 was the distance from the mounting hole of the light to the bend of the bracket... You will want to measure and verify this on your light to make sure you have enough swing clearance for pointing. Obviously you'll want this to be as low profile as...
