It did indeed. I've since driven 2 more trucks and didn't personally notice it, my wife said she could sometimes feel it but it was 99% better - so we ordered one. I didn't order trailer mirrors, though - we don't tow anything large, just my wife's small 2-place horse trailer and a small flat...
If you haven't discussed with Devon4x4 yet, do give them a try - I've found them to be fantastically responsive to questions I've had about their products. Not warranty-related, though...
Got an email from Europe this AM - looks like the height is 174cm/68.5" for the for the fitted portion of the wall and another 30cm/11.8" for the skirt, for a total of 204cm/80".
I'm trying to figure out how tall the awning enclosure walls are. Not published on any of their distributor websites and OK4WD doesn't have one in stock to measure currently. Anybody here able to shed some light on the question?
I think I'm going to take wifey to the local dealership and sit in several 2500s to see if they have the same windshield effect. Searching the web I just don't see complaints about it, and surely there would be some if it was widespread.
Just got off phone with a dealer who is quoting far...
So... test drive was a mixed bag.
The Minister of War and Finance loves how it looks, and was OK with how it rode. Really there were 4 things that she didn't like vs. F150/F250, and 3 of them she can get over... but 1 I don't think she can.
3 minor: She likes the full panoramic sunroof from...
Very nice, Drei! When I originally read this article last year, made me want to do a similar trip - probably in the spring or fall, though! Hopefully cool enough to not have so many buzzy insects but warm enough to keep the family content.
Makes sense! Not really a fair question based on trim levels, even if you ignore the massaging function!
Another question for you since I'm full of them and overthinking this whole F250 vs. PW decision. My wife is 5'3" and my little guy is 6YO, so the PW is a long way up for them. I know...
How do you find the seat comfort between the PW and the F250? I know they're a bit different on the options spectrum, so perhaps not a fair comparison.
Nuthouse for your F250 or PW?
I haven't talked to them yet, but when I do I want to figure out how to carry a 37” spare. I don't want the load floor option. If on an F250, I want them to weld tabs longitudinally so I can mount 80/20 on top of the bed rail... then I can use 80/20 cross...
Thanks for the photos!
I think I'm leaning towards a rack vs. a cap, probably from nuthouse so I can run a tonneau as well. Since the rack would be built-to-order, I think I can specify the height to get it dialed in where I want it. Looks like that is ~4”, so I think I'll target about...
Back to original question - I did some looking at photos of pickup bed campers, which have a much larger overhang above cab than I will have. Many people f them look to have as little as 1”-2”. I'm thinking 2” should be safe for me given I'll only have a foot or less of overhang.
