Purchased a new HF mobile rig (Yeasu 857D) and was looking at antenna options. I came across this antenna/roof rack combo. I did a quick search of the forum but nothing showed. I like the concept but I'm curious about the antenna performance. Anyone running one of the following...
Sorry for the slow response.
I took a break from marketing the trailer over the holidays. In January I was approached for a new gig and went through the interview process. February I started the job and have been traveling a lot.
sjk99's post is correct. I have it on craigslist.
An update from...
After trying to contact Conqueror I'm having caps made for the trailer I'm trying to sell...figure it will be more attractive if it's complete. :)
I've asked for two but the price per unit goes down with volume, minimum of 20. Who needs them? I don't have a price yet but I'm shooting for ~$50...
Idaho has a large Basque population who tend to sheep in the back woods of ID. I was traveling there this summer and came across the anual Basque festival. They had these units displayed as an example of how they live during the months they are shepherds. Looks like a great summer job.
Where did this thread end up. I have a quote on getting the cap made at a machine shop, along with a #10 hole in the top to tether it to the trailer, but my quote is over $130 per cap.
I'm selling my trailer but thought I'd attempt to put it all together before it sells.
I had a request for additional pictures via IM and thought I'd post them up for the group.

Sorry it took me a bit to respond. My tape says 73-74" but the trailer isn't packed to the gills with kit or water. I don't have the extra mattress padding that Jim does.
Dendy--
Thanks...
Conqueror trailers are easy to use and a great piece of kit. As to why folks are getting rid of them? I'm sure the reasons are as varied as those who own them. For me it's function.
I sold my 01 Tacoma and replaced it with a 80 series Land Cruiser. I've realized for the...
This has been a great little trailer. My seven year old will be sad to see it go...he loves sleeping in the tent.
I’ve made some small modifications/improvements to the rig. The prior owner broke the trailer jack mount so I installed a bulldog unit that swivels out of the way. I also replaced...
NEMA is not supported...I went that route. I liked the look and display of the 350 but ended up with the 710. I have a FT-60 and would have gone with the 350 had it supported NEMA. Now that I have the 710 I'm glad I went that direction. The software alone is huge...no need to set every...
I've been in their NOC (Netowrk Ops Center) and the best method for data communication is combining multiple phones for transmisison. They sell the unit but it normally goes atop ships.
They are putting up birds that will do 10 and 100mg connections. May be best to wait.
Then again...don't we...
beach boy...Still happy with this unit? I like it because it has back-lit buttons and a larger display than the 8800. I don't know that I will use the GPS features, as I don't see the advantage unless all your buddy's do it too...and i learned my lession on that with the Garmin Rhino. Plus I'd...
Seems to be a common problem...
Good call MoGas...I read the first three posts and was going to post something similar. I did my DS birf rebuild two weeks ago. I did the job last summer and didn't get a year on the stock seal. When I pulled it there was a tear in it...don't know how it got...
