It definitely is a nicer build than you'll see in most ambo's. The issue is that at Overland Expo a couple weeks ago, you could buy a brand new turnkey, fully built, with inside shower, AWD van for $100k. This is a pretty savvy and experienced crowd on this forum.

There are a bunch out there, and some, like the Batwing look to be a bit fragile. I'm a magnet for really bad weather when camping so I'd like to find something really rugged. Looking for some experienced reviews.

Yeah, I'm thinking the cabin construction and interior build. For the most part not too much different than 40 years ago.

Cool truck but I just can't see spending 100k on a camper built the same as was done 40 years ago.

Yeah, I spoke to TAV in Albuquerque since they're AT dealers, and that's what they said.

One thing about the Topo Topper offers that AT Overland doesn't offer - the actual product. IE, you can get one. In 2-3 months. Compared to a year or so for the AT Summit. If I could get a Summit in a reasonable time, I'd buy a truck for it right now and get the AT going. But I'm not interested...
