It has 150 feet on the spool and if I am on a trip, I take an extra 50 foot extension. To be fair, I have an 8274, so even doubled back it is almost as fast as a planetary style winch on a single pull. I also have an M8000 that can go in the rear hitch if need be.

Nope. Mine does ok, pretty consistent 16 on the bitumen and 10 or so on tracks. I average 12.5 in mixed driving. I try not to DD it because of the miles and I have A Toyota 4x4 Hilux with a 4 banger for that. I don't want it to get lot rot and start leaking, though, so I do drive it to work...
