    Trailer build instructions and parts

I know, I was just jabbing' at ya. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I remember reading through your entire thread, hardly able to wait to get to the end to find out where I could buy the parts. Alas, I came to the place in the thread where you said you just designed, but didn't produce. And I...

    Trailer build instructions and parts

The TNTT forums are great. So are the suggestions by jscherb (who should quit teasing us all and just put Trailtop components into production). When I started thinking about building a trailer a few years ago, I started by going through the two links at the top of this forum's page: Favorite...

    UAZ Cargo CamperEdition

I agree with this statement very much. I love the pictures and having some context/locations would only improve their impact. By the way, I keep showing my wife your pictures to explain what I would like to do for my next build. Thank you for sharing your adventures!

    Sawtooth XL Build

I certainly will. I was through Prince George last August on my way home with the trailer. No current plans to head back down the highway this year, but you never know!

    Sawtooth XL Build

That's the way I chose to go, but I admit I have been thinking about gluing 2" of foam to the bottom of the floor between the frame rails and then riveting on a sheet of galvanized metal (or maybe using some of the 3M tape that I mistrust) to deflect rocks and the like. I dunno. I like to...

    Sawtooth XL Build

That is a good question, and I don't have a definitive answer. Structurally I believe you will be okay, especially if (1) you leave at least 1/4" of the exterior skin, (2) you use fiberglass tape and epoxy to strengthen the wall-to-roof/floor joints, and (3) don't overload the roof. I doubt...

    Sawtooth XL Build

Thank you very much! Building it was, all in all, a very good experience. Of course, it's never really done . . .

    Sawtooth XL Build

Since it is the day after Christmas, and about 10 degrees outside, I was going through a few photos of what my wife has come to call the RTAK, or Rolling Tent And Kitchen. And that is pretty much what it is, plus a lot of fun. After we returned to Alaska, avoiding fires in Canada, etc., we...

"No More Projects!", says I. And then...1972 Superior 2200. Couldn't pass it up.

Great job, great story. And with a mystery, too! Compression check next?

Sawtooth Unlimited - Off Road Pop Top Camper Trailer

Oh no, Jess! Another one I have to build? My wife really loves the Sawtooth XL. After I got it back to Alaska we were camping in it until late September. It is a hit wherever we drag it! This new design looks pretty awesome. I'm very curious about composite construction so I will follow...

Probably the only one of these on here!

I've always considered the Aztek to be one of the five ugliest cars produced in the USA. I am now rethinking my list. Mind you, it may only drop to number six, but this is a very good looking off-beat-rally kind of car. Besides, which Soccer Mom would not love to go to the game with an axe...

    UAZ 452

Very, very nice! Lots of hard work, and I love the meticulous attention to detail. I just hope you don't feel too bad when your first client spills that GIANT sized drink all over the new wall panel, seat cover, and floor. You are doing a great job!
