Blue Sea ACR and DC to DC Charger?

I've been scratching my head on how to charge my batteries in my F550 shuttle bus. Planned set up is 4-600 amp hours of 6v golf cart batteries. F550 has dual alternators that have the possibility to push a lot of amps, so the only ACR I could find was the ML series from Blue Sea that are good...

Ski Bum Truck V2.0, F450 Rough Road RV

You say uou aren't 100% sold on your wheel and tire setup. What would you pick if you did it all over? I am considering Dbl Design for wheels, tires, shocks, and I think a spacer lift. G275 tires seem like a proven choice. What are your thoughts on regearing 9r leaving it alone? And what...

Ski Bum Truck V2.0, F450 Rough Road RV

That's been a long few days to get through this build thread. I remember seeing this a couple years ago when I had an itch to get a bigger truck. 100% not appealing. Too big. Would never fit anyplace. Time changes things. Where you fit and want to go changes and comfort increases. I...

    Outside showers and campgrounds?

You can get a drain pan for your shower. Folds up pretty small in case a campground ever requires it. I've been to a handful that have had that as a requirement. Outside showers and campgrounds are always a little iffy anyways. If it's necessary to take a shower and they don't have a shower...

    Colorado Duramax thread

I was kind of thinking upgrades to an LT would be about the same price as a ZR2. The difference would be a different suspension set up that could clear a 33" tire, heavier duty leafs, and air lockers from ARB, if they are even available. Why not just get the ZR2 then? I tow a lot and would...

    Colorado Duramax thread

Do you know if anybody has relocated the bottom rear shock mounts? I cringe every time I see a Colorado. They stick so far down from the axle and they are so far away from the wheels, unlike a Tacoma. Just curious. One of the many questions floating through my head as I figure out if I want...

Did I read that this is only for automatic transmission tacomas? Does it fit manuals?

    Propex furnace not firing

Should have started with finding the user manual. It did a lock out for the gas connection. Why it did that, I have no idea. But it was a simple matter of turning the power on, off, and on again with the thermostat. Hopefully will work next week for our spring break camping trip.

    Propex furnace not firing

Wondering if anybody here might be able to help me out. I have one of the newer models of the propex heatsource furnace. Modell 2211. This is the one that can be mounted on its side or on a ceiling. I bought it last fall and only got to use it for a couple nights. Worked fine. Went on a...

    Redeth's Overland Trailer Build

X2 on your propex youtube video. I know I read before you are in California but you sound very northern Minnesotan or maybe Saskatchewan? Anyways, how are you and Nd4spdse running your ducts from the trailer to the rtt without having animals getting into the trailer. My trailer is similar to...

M116A1 hydraulic tool trailer - good platform?

Here's a bit from our trip last month. I'm not sure how many other trucks and trailers have made it all the way out to this camp site on Brule Lake. It's north of Jasper in Alberta, Canada. https://youtu.be/AyFiN_H2_1s

M116A1 hydraulic tool trailer - good platform?

I love this trailer. If I were to do anything different, it would be to learn how to weld so I didn't use so much wood. It has held up well, but building it lighter and stronger would be something to do over if I could. And I absolutely want to replace that pintle hitch. It's not bad on the...

My Family's Overlanding Vlog Series - First Trip with our Turtleback Released

Great videos again. I can't believe you took your trailer on even part of fins and things. You have bigger balls than me, and that's not something I usually get to say about other people. We did Fins and things a couple years ago and it definitely pushed the envelope a little bit on what I...

    Redeth's Overland Trailer Build

Gi got my cvt a couple years ago. It was a huge fight to get the annex to slide i to their rail. We have the largest tent and there was no way it was ever going to go in by myself. So... I put it in and left it in. Annex, without the floor, has been attached ever since. It folds up with...

My Family's Overlanding Vlog Series - First Trip with our Turtleback Released

I picked up a phantom 3 a couple weeks ago. Seemed like it should be easy to fly from all the reviews. Still learning. I also have two daughters, Evelyn and Lily.

My Family's Overlanding Vlog Series - First Trip with our Turtleback Released

Can you recommend any drones for a 1st time flier that are under $500, come with an okay quality camera, and are easy to fly, hopefully with some of those autopilot features where they automatically return to you?

Timbren axle less suspension question for M416

I'll second that. After towing trailers with electric brakes I would never even consider buying a trailer without them. Parking brake is a nice feature too. A who.e lot safer than relying on wheel chocks to keep the trailer in place, not to mention making it possible to man-handle a heavier...

2" receiver cargo basket rated for 1000#...? Feedback on idea, please?

For what its worth, I have a heavy duty cargo basket with a ramp. 32" deep and 60" wide. I haul my nearly 300 lb honda tracked snowblower in the winter. The basket is stupid heavy, maybe 150+ lbs, but it does the job. 500 pounds on the back of my tacomas class IV hitch is noticeable, but I...
