    Homebuilt storage box

Just thinking out loud Ben...I would do all aluminum 1/8", and a combination of HDPE, or some material like that....total slide out with Partner stove. I do think it will need support near the end. If you come up with an idea...lots of shops can prebend the materials for you....but there's...

    Battery chargers and battery sizes

I've used the Iota-45 system for going on 6 years...no problem. I guess I'm unclear if the tv will be 12v...but that should give you plenty of juice to run what need...plus keep your battery topped off. I'd consider a group 31 or so. You're emergency break away for the trailer brakes should...

    Special Agent Cooper Takes Montana

One time at a friend's party I met an Alaskan fishing guide. At the time I was a young guy and pretty impressed and in was in complete awe of his stories of danger while fishing, and near misses with Grizz while hunting. I thought I knew quite a bit about the outdoors, so the first question I...

    DIY Bundutec awning

I was basing that on the aluminum tube....with my brief exposure to using aluminum, it appears anyway to help distribute weight down through the piece, maybe alleviating some pressure at the joint. I'll be doing my roof rack next for my truck out of aluminum, so I'd be watching this...

    DIY Bundutec awning

Just thinking out loud... A phenolic plastic block to fill the end of the rectangle tube...maybe a foot or so to help distribute weight and stress....and plastic washers (nylon?) In between to space the arms? Seems to be a lot going on in that little hinge area...sub'd...good luck

    AA1PR's M416 Trailer Build Thread..

What I use to do when I had to set up the pop up alone, was anchor one leg to a picnic table or trailer or bumper. Then just walk out the individual corners while pushing up. Took a couple trips around the circle, but was pretty easy to do once I got the hang of it. The table looks like it...

    Father and Sons Build Too

I'm afraid your tongue design (if your intentions are to cut and weld the steel where it's clamped) is inadequate. I think you'd be much better bridging under the frame, back to near where the front spring hangers would be....even if was just 2"x 2" x 1/4". I think switching over to the...

    wiring up the essentials?

I like to keep all the truck wiring seperate from the trailer side. I use a color coded plastic "junction box" for the 7 pin lead. This is an example... Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/351743301645 Now, you don't say, but will the trailer have its own battery...maybe two? How...

Experience of Sleeping in a RTT?

I had two RTT's ....both on top of the trailer. First one was very basic, ladder not enclosed. Second was enclosed ladder....enclosed changing room was even nicer. You can't beat sleeping "up" period...it's that cool. But I think it's better suited for the younger crowd. After spending...
