    Marn's Basic M-416 Build

Oh and I built a solar water heater than can be pressurized. Untitled by Marn, on Flickr Told wife "pick a campground so we can use it in a controlled environment." She did, and we did. Loaded the bastard up with a fairly simple list of items. Basically all we need to bring along in the...

    Marn's Basic M-416 Build

Sketched out a plan to put the floor of the tent 6/2" off the ground. OR something like that. ITs right around 6'. Had my buddy pick up some 1 1/2" square tubing and some angle iron and we went to work. This is my first time ever fabricating anything. I did probably 80% of the welding and...

    Marn's Basic M-416 Build

Well, I might as well document it. Last time I was down in Vegas I picked up a 1960whatever M-416 that was in original (aside from paint and lights being added) condition. It was titled as a home built 2015 from NY. Tires were new (well a few years old), wheels were new, bearings were new...

How do I work the built in light in a CVT Summit Series

Thanks guys for the advice. I'd really like to get this working because I have some needs/desires for lighting and power in the tent. I emailed CVT, after some prodding they said they would sell me one. I called them up, and they told me they wont be getting any more summit tents in for a...

1973 Wagoneer - Full Size Camping Goodness

Well, the tent works. We just went to a campground this weekend for the initial shakedown run. About 200 miles on the jeep this weekend, trailer towed great. It set up great, broke down fairly slowly, but apparently I can leave the annex attached. That will make things alot easier. Anyway, it...

Lol, yeah its big when the annex is attached. Some folks will opt for a liftable or adjustable rack so they can lower it while driving, but personally I did not have the wherewithal to complete such a design. This should do fine for my needs.

First time having my pile pull this trailer. Drove it across town for a quick road test. Maiden voyage is this weekend, just going to a campground so the shakedown run can be done in a controlled environment. Untitled by Marn, on Flickr

1973 Wagoneer - Full Size Camping Goodness

First time dragging it behind the wag. The damn pintle hitch is too long, had to add a few extensions to the chains, same situation as the hitch on my F250 because the dealer supplied bumper extends way out. Either way, towed fine, its a little clunky. Trailer still needs some more tongue...
