    HJ45 Perpetually Dead Battery

I had a 12 volt 3B Toyota diesel. It was OEM dual batteries.

    HJ45 Perpetually Dead Battery

Don't the diesels need two batteries to start them?

    Tundra vs LC200 Parts Commonality

Is what the case? They share the same engine, transmission and probably differentials. Definitely not the rear suspension.

Drive to Arctic Circle in “high miles” 4th Gen 4Runner

Either Haines or Skagway will work. Not sure which one is less miles without checking but they're not significantly different. I also prefer Haines. It's much less touristy for starters, and the Haines highway is even more scenic than the Klondike. I would take the Dempster slowly, not be...

    200 Series Heritage Edition

The vintage script is a nice touch. A vintage appearance/ smaller size would be even better.

    HJ Pickup to Expedition Vehicle

I don't have experience with a turbo 3B, just non turbo. Everything I've read on IH8MUD suggests that the 3B is practically built for a turbo and can handle it better than most engines. IMO, that would be the single biggest upgrade for your truck, if done properly, after power steering...

    HJ Pickup to Expedition Vehicle

It's a beauty. Review the maintenance history, check fluids, tires, the front end integrity and prepare yourself for a slow, noisy ride. The 3B is outstanding for longevity, but no engine is bulletproof. They're really slow, even in a SWB stock LC. Hard to imagine what it'd be like in a...

    Pickup or wait?

They are renowned for having very little legroom. With a FJ40 it's possible to modify the seat brackets to add some additional, something most people 6 ft. tall or more pretty much have to do out of necessity, with a pickup this is not possible.

    High mileage and trips

Where ya starting from ? 14K miles sounds a bit high for such a trip. But yeah, absolutely go for it.

2nd set of wheels for an LX450?

I would look for a set of used FZJ80 wheels. They're one of the best looking OEM wheels ever and obviously would be the perfect fit.

    Gladiator - Good/Bad?

Could be, I don't know. One of the questions OP asked about was transmission problems. Kilmer identified one problem with the manual transmission that's had a recall as a result. Another recall has occurred with the automatic transmission. Not a lot of vehicles have had these problems...

    Gladiator - Good/Bad?

Scotty Kilmer is down on them, and new Jeeps in general. He had a video about their manual transmission problems a couple years ago.

Reputable Toyota 4x4 Shops Near Boise?

Starter, water pump/timing belt and heater Ts are sort of preventative maintenance for the 100 if they're original. Brake master and steering rack are a couple items that might eventually fail with enough miles and use. Keep it stock and enjoy that flagship Toyota reliability.

    FZJ80 shopping- am I crazy?

Neither RHD or an 80 strike me as good choices for a young driver to learn on. If your heart is set on this model, I'd wait until back in the states.

Worth selling my gen 2 Tacoma for a gen 2.5 to avoid head gasket issue?

It can't possibly be true that the HG problem is "common". 21K for a 2006 sounds like a lot. So, are you keeping or not?

    Latest Photo?

40,55,60,80,100,200-are there not six in US? I would also not worry about how much "value" a Land Cruiser stands to lose. Elsewhere in the world there are many people with very little money who acquire one with the idea it will last their lifetime. That's the correct approach IMO.

Is It Worth @ $30k to Make Your Newer Taco Look Old ? ?

Sounds great to me, except for the unavoidable lack of legroom with the '82. Actually I'd be happy with the '82 as it was back then, except with a newer Toyota EFI truck engine instead of the old 20R. Even 22RE would be OK. Would also need a high end paint job to keep the rust demons away...
