If you get pulled over by highway patrol . . . you are definitely getting pulled out of the car when they look in your back seat.
A great service you are providing.
I am guessing the tow strap fails before a hitch pin is sheared. I am talking about a high quality hitch with a 5/8" hitch pin. The sheer strength of a 5/8 pin is probably pretty high. I suppose you might bend a hitch pin from trying to snatch out a vehicle, but I am guessing that is mostly...
You might try hitting up Wired By Greg he normally keeps a good inventory of BD products. Not sure if he likes to sell products or only with an install. Also look at SDHQ, they have a large inventory.
OBS is the generation before the 99s.
99 was the start of the superduty.
2017 was a major change in frame and body and though the trucks are still superduty, many call it the Alumiduty. Or the 17+ superduty.

I am a little confused on your approach to all of this. It sounds like you just invested a bunch of money in your current axles.
What is your goal with at this point with an axle swap?
Regarding the SSBC brakes, the bolt patterns (assuming you mean lug pattern) is the same from 99-22...
I wrote to Switch Pros customer service. They replied. I am still not sure I fully understand this, hopefully it will make more sense with the app open.
In the application there is a section called "external trigger setup" where you can select what switch is activated with what trigger. It...
So, you don't have a switch pros?
I have a light bar wired to the 9100. I want the light bar to go on when the high beams are actuated. Then the same thing with aux reverse Lights being actuated when truck is shifted to reverse.
I'm sure it's very simple, it just doesn't seem very intuitive...
Ahhhhh, truck is also a female.
150k from the unit bearings is pretty good, if this is the first time replacing them. Assuming you have a choice in brands, I would recommend using:
Unit bearings - Timken which is the OEM.
Ball Joints - Spicer which is OEM.
Dealer parts can be substituted...
I have a SP 9100 installed. I have the #1 trigger wire connected to high beams and #2 to reverse lights. I have read the instruction sheet, but am still thoroughly confused how to program an accessory to be triggered by high beams.
Anyone have a link to detailed instructions or care to...
Sounds like you found a great shop. Allowing you to drop the camper on site and then letting you use a shop car......That's some good service/hospitality.
Is truck a 4x4?
Why? The Ford locking hubs work pretty well. I got 22 years of service out of my stock hubs on my 99 Ford. Only replaced them, bc I did a coils spring conversion and as such replaced the axle. They were still working fine when I sold the axle.
@buckin_tradution can you give us more details on what happened with your truck? Not driveable? Is it 4x4? Do you know if it is an early 99 or a 99.5 (There are some differences in the 4x4 front bearing and brakes).
On the bright side there are many good mechanic shops in Utah.
