I've had very good results with several different direct connect cell amps. The big question I have now is what freqs 4G is on. Will we need new amps for 4G?
My '99 got around 15 stock. The Banks kit raised it to around 17. The 6" lift and 315's dropped it to around 12, especially in combination with the Callen. The Callen didn't really hurt it any more though.
Ah, The Irons.
The flat head axe and Halligan bar (Married together and called The Irons) are the staple of forcible entry in most of the US fire service. The Halligan was invented in 1948 by Chief Hugh Halligan of the FDNY. His originals have his name in the casting and go for around $1K on...
Regcabguy had Aluminess in Santee do one for under the front bumper of his 3rd Gen. They're obviously capable, but I'm not sure what the cost would be with R&D and all. As you're discovering, the market for mods is more 3rd Gen oriented now.
It would appear that the Edgestar has a cult-like following. Does that count?
No? How about, "I got a SnD Edgestar, so I didn't have to raise my debt ceiling!"
:peepwall:
A couple of things to think about. First, I second the recommendation for Thuren or Carli. Oh, and last I saw Thuren's website had not been updated in some time. His Facebook page was just started today. He now has an "overlanding" kit, as does Carli.
You're planning to sleep in the shell...
Hmmmm... regcabguy and I will have to check our '07 5.9's for DPF's. ;) The DPF didn't kick in until the '07.5.
I can tell you that I sold my '99 Ford 7.3 (the "good" Ford diesel) for a '07 Dodge 5.9. I love the Dodge as compared to the Ford. My Ford rode like crap compared to my Dodge...
Just talked to a friend with a Xoom. She was complaining that very few of the apps on the Android Market will scale for the tablet. She's debating selling it and getting an Apple. Comments?
My interests are mostly mapping, browsing, gallery and word processing.
Chief,
By and large, all good advice. One question -- do you carry all that in your POV? I know I don't.
I can certainly relate to the dangers of alloys. Got blown on my *** once when I walked by a window just as a hose stream inside a house hit a magnesium wheelchair. But I'm thinking...
I certainly understand about the space issue. Thanks to this thread, I looked for a good place for my pressurized H2O extinguisher and was having difficulty... in the back of a Dodge 2500. I also hear you on the "never needing one". But then, there's that one time my Bronco caught fire... in...
Trae, you asked a great question, so I'm going to answer with two more. What are your hazards? How much do you want to spend?
For camping, you incur a couple of hazards that racers don't. Campfires and cooking. Nothing beats good old water (especially with foam added) for a Class A fire...
Let's see, isn't 6 liters around a gallon and a half?
I bought a 2.5 gallon pressurized water extinguisher on eBay years ago for around $75 new. Here's a used one for $40...
The above site does not show a key for '07 Dodges. But if you enter the FCC ID code you'll find a bunch that will work. I didn't go back and look, but I believe that one of those is the '06 Dodge key.
They also have some cool padlocks that self set to your car key the first time it's...
OK, time for a little report on my new fridge.
I did a little wiring last week and put a Blue Sea fuse block back in the camper. I already had 0 gauge run to the inverter, so I build some 6 gauge jumpers to feed the fuse block. Then I ran 12 gauge around to where I wanted to put the fridge...
