TMReyes1, Curious what lug nuts you have on your trailer. I have the same Taco wheels and new 6on5.5 hubs to put on my trailer, but the trailer hub studs are 1/2"-20 thread and the OEM lugs for the wheels are 12mm-1.5 shank style. Also the taco wheels are hub centric further complicating...
There are a lot of interesting opinions in here.
I drive a lot of different AWD and 4wd vehicles of every flavor in winter conditions about 6 months out of the year for most of my life. This is all you need to know to make the AWD/4wd decision.
Simplified version for the OP's question...
Doesn't seem possible that they could get a 3.5L to put out numbers close to the 4.0L in a true Atkinson cycle engine.
I could actually deal with a tad less power with improved mpg, my current truck is a 4.0 taco, and compared to my last truck (4.0 Ranger) it almost feels excessive. Not...
Very good point, didn't think of it because like most I am trapped in my own financial situation. Given unlimited time and money...the things I could do.
Two things that come to mind though. The first is the energy cost of manufacturing. Lifetime energy costs are complicated and rarely...
I think it is interesting that so many people are looking for better mileage in these trucks. Better mileage comes at the cost of other desirable features. There are 3 main ways that a manufacturer can get higher mpg; Weight, aerodynamics, and drivetrain efficiency.
Weight = lighter frame...
I recently went from a Ranger, to a 6.0 PS F250 extended cab with 6' bed, to a Gen2 DCSB Taco. Bought the F250 for a great deal with the anticipation that I might plow with it, but after 8 years of plowing decided that I had had enough. I was lucky enough to sell the F250 for more than I had...
The dog, wife, and I just got back from a week long trip in a Kukenman sky. Plenty of room for the three of us. The tent is mounted on my trailer at about 5.5ft high. The one thing you want to consider, depending on the size of your dog, is how you are going to get the dog into the tent.
We...
Learned a lot of the same lessons as folks here, but want to add something for future posterity, as not sure it is relevant info for the OP.
I started with a Harbor Freight 4'x8' and modified it down to a 4'x4' and welded it together instead of bolting. While it was nice to have a starting...
From local paper classifieds. Not mine, don't know the seller but, thought someone here might be interested. If I didn't just buy a new Tacoma I would be all over it. No idea if it is a fair price though.

I put over 50 pairs of the Bosch Icon blades on the fleet of vehicles I manage last year, and I have to disagree with the advice above. I replace all our blades once a year in the fall.
I bought Bosch based on reviews and brand reputation, while they wipe well the attachment to the wiper arm...
Check out this thread from jscherb (a member here as well) about modifying an HF trailer. Lots of good ideas even if you don't do exactly the plan he suggests.
Building a stronger 4'x4' frame out of a 4'x8' Harbor Freight frame
