GMC Savana AWD De-Conversion (Dodge Ram replacement)

Clever set up on the 80/20-bungee drawers above the fridge. Took a minute to figure out, but I think I am understanding how they function. Might have to borrow that idea if you don't mind.

    2nd Generation Tacoma 4wd - Suspension Clearance?

285's will fit, kinda. You don't actually need a lift. Your front tires might rub on the body mount. Google tacoma body mount chop or similar for the fix. Depending on the backspacing of those FJ wheels you my also get rubbing on the UCA at full steering lock. If you still have the OEM...

Trying to decide on a top for my 2003 E350 EB - Soliciting Opinions

I've been trying to make the same decision, and have been doing a pros and cons list. I think that have landed on a 24" bubble top. It came down to a couple of key factors for me, but what it boiled down to was how we planned to use the van. The high top is more convenient and less expensive...

    2008 Yamaha XT250

SOLD!: 2008 XT250 Location: Jackson, WY Description: I am the second owner of this bike, bought it in 2012 with only 1200 miles on it. Currently has just under 6K on the ODO. Well maintained, but definitely not a garage queen. Fresh oil, empty carb, cleaned and lubed chain, sea foam in...

Lightweight off road trailer with roof top tent

Yes, but maybe not like you are thinking. I didn't build it for top access, so there are no hinges. I did want to be able to open it to work on it though, so the top is held on by 12 (3 on each side) rotary action draw latches that are rated for 600lbs each inside the lid. There is a bulb...

Lightweight off road trailer with roof top tent

Considering keeping the trailer and just selling the tent. If I go that direction I will edit this post and create another in the equipment thread. $1000 for the tent. joeyjeepli PM sent.

Post Van Parts For Sale Here please

I just posted 2 AWD Astros in the Expedition Vehicles for Sale thread. Thought I would mention it here as they could be bought for parts. Also have a set of stock length KYB shocks for an AWD Express that I am taking off the van I just bought. The PO said they were relatively new, and they...

Two, yes two! Astro AWD vans for sale.

Technically not mine, but from the fleet I manage at work. It's a non-profit, hope that is OK use of the forum, if not please delete. Thought someone around here might be interested in a cheap Astro in decent shape for a build or parts. Both are in OK shape for the age, regular maintenance...

Used 3rd Gen Tacoma in Jackson, WY

Found a 2016 Tacoma, SR 4 banger locally. I think the owner might be an acquaintance, but not sure. Ad here http://classifieds.jacksonhole.media/classified/2016-tacoma-sr-4wd-listing-5491.aspx#.VylzEhUrKXQ Might be a good deal on a real basic truck for a build platform.

Lightweight off road trailer with roof top tent

Bump for May and I want $ to start on the top for the van. Feel free to weigh in on price, hard to price something like this when you have so many hours into it.

The Double down AWD cargo build

I am awful at taking photos while I work. I'll edit later with some pictures. This weekend I got the wheels stripped, de-rusted, primed, and painted black. Ordered some new tires for my truck so that I can swap the 235/85r16 Duratracs on the truck to the van. Trying out a Cooper-Mile...

GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread

I've looked at removing the rear unit from a 1 ton EB passenger that got converted to cargo use at work. Ended up leaving it, but had a plan to pull it. I have a fleet of those vans, and the rear AC lines always get holes and leak eventually. I was going to plug both the AC lines at the...

Post Van Parts For Sale Here please

I'm pulling Firestone airbags off the back of my AWD Chevy this weekend if anyone is interested. Not sure what else they will fit, but if you need a little extra lift in the back...

    Pop top for cargo van.

Junkyard is on option, if you live near a junkyard...the closest one to me is a 4.5 hour round trip. I'm willing to go to one any where within a couple days of here, but only if I know I am going to drive away with a top. I could waste a lot of hours looking for tops in junkyards.

    Pop top for cargo van.

I thought that I had seen this somewhere, but can't seem to find it. Are they still selling them as DYI, and doe anyone know how much the top costs without the install? I am trying to figure out what top I want on my high mileage van. I want the CC pop top, but they cost more than I paid for...

    Homemade rock sliders

I'm no pro, but I have a 110v welder that I have used a lot at home because I lack a shop. I also have used a 220v Hobart quite a bit at my brother in law's shop. Your experience isn't a factor, I find it much easier to weld anything thicker than 14g with the bigger machine. The only reasons...

    Pop top for cargo van.

One way to get a pop top that you can instal yourself is to find a used Eurovan Weekender top. Not easy to find, but they do exist. Needs to be a Westfalia converted Weekender, not the Winnebago Camper. Search Bettyford's threads on SMB for info about that install.
