I did it. Ran a ground from the rear of SUV, 4ga wire off the alternator with inline fuse. Terminated with MC4 connections and used MC4/8mm plug and viola. Charges great. Theres a thread I look for and post

Yup. I'm gonna hold on to that thread and glean as much info as I can from it. I started pricing out some of the offroad trailers and could find a nice used one of these and do some suspension work and still come in under what some of them come in at.

Doing some searching through threads, I've stumbled upon this. There's not a lot of follow up as it's been sold and someone else continued the project but not much for updates since.
I think a 13ft or even the 16/17ft trailer would be perfect to get back to some places where 90% of the general...
Yep. I was thinking 4ft actually. I am really trying to decide on if I want a trailer to get me by or if I can make do just taking my RTT off and on when I need or dont need. I really have my eye on a overkill camper setup but those start at 22k and then have options I want. Nothing wrong with...
Nice. Sounds like a nice setup. I'm going for a smaller footprint with a 5x8 but not sure on height. I spoke with Chris and he said they could do whatever height I wanted starting with a 4ft10 or 5ft height or i could co from 5ft down 12" increments to 4ft. I'm thinking 4ft10 or 4ft
So many...
Excellent and thank you for the heads up! I've heard that about the 16" centers vs. 24" also about the studs. What would you reccomend. Thanks again!
Any chance we could get your trailer spec sheet? Sounds like you got it down pat
Thanks!

Good to know. I guess that's what you get for the price. I dont plan beating on it but that info you provided is good to know and may make me think twice.
Thanks for the heads up!

How's your overall experience been with your trailer?

Looking at having a build done by cargo craft and they said they usually go with 13,500btu units, I assume for their "larger trailers".
I feel that's kinda overkill for any trailer of this size. I've seen some 13.5 units were operable with a 2500 generator utilizing a microstart soft start...
I'll contact you and show you what I'm looking to get done. I'll send it in a message. His email is trophymotors@ymail.com

Talked to Jerry today and he said build time is 8 to 10 weeks as he has 182 trailers in the que. As far as discounts for two trailers in the same order. No bueno. He is able to customize to your exact wants, needs. Really nice guy. I'm sending him a list of wants and needs tomorrow. He said he...
Also, not to be a wet blanket, but just spoke to Steve Lutz about this as he is considerably more knowledgeable on this subject than I and here is what he sent to me...
Hi Seth,
The M205 is a different locker is totally different from the Patrol Lockers as it's a North America only diff.

**M205 E-locker For Titan Swapped Xterra/Frontier/Pathfinder**
Just wanted to gauge interest in a M205 front e-locker from Harrop/Eaton. Currently, they have one for the Y62 Patrol which we originally thought would work with the M205 but further conversation with Harrop revealed that the...
I will look in to the derated option but I do like that the frame uses beefier steel, not sure how much better but more stout is always a plus. Of course, I'm sure the 3500 is pretty stout as well. Going to go over things next week or two and see what I come away with.
