This thing really deserves a better owner. I bought it off a a friend a few years ago and never figured out how to use it.

Older version works perfectly. On 10 cd-roms. Contains 2700+ 7.5' maps. Includes gps compatibility and 3-D shading. Great to have just to peruse and print maps or to use on a laptop in the car with a gps.

I just don't use it anymore as my eyes are too old for the screen. Comes with an SD card with a bunch of SoCal area on it already, the little connector piece for a mini- usb cable. If you're really nice to me I'll throw in a motorcycle mount...
Joe, you may want to go doen to that big shop in Huntington Beach on PCH and rent one, tool aound in the harbor and see what you think. There is another guy right next door that also rents another brand I think. Good place to test them.

Replaced mine recently. They were 13 years old. When I cut them off, you could barely see light through either one of them, not good. With the replacement, it feels much more unplugged to me. I think there is a balance between being legal and having an essentially plugged up system.
Now there ya go ... like the old college stunt, order the pizza for next door, pizza guy shows, gets told they didn't order it and sells it to you for 1/2 price.
