    Fiberglass Composite Camper Construction?

Thanks for the comments they are greatly appreciated. The flat bed or chassis idea would be great, right now I do not have permanent plans for the vehicle, as it is only a regular cab and the additional space of a crew cab would be preferred. So the vehicle may be changed out at a later date...

    Fiberglass Composite Camper Construction?

I have been thinking about building a truck camper for a while, after looking it seems that a fiberglass composite construction would be a good choice for my plans. After reading about the Super Camper built by Tacodoc, using Niacore panels, I was really interested in going for a composite...

    what batteries for my diesel

There is no need for a starter upgrade on a Cummins diesel, they all come equipped with high torque starters from the factory. It is mostly the glow plugs or grid heater for his case that drains the juice while the combustion chambers are being heated prior to starting.

    what batteries for my diesel

I have an older dodge diesel that only uses one battery and for some reason the wal-mart marine battery seems to crank it without any problems in winter and it still survives over 110 degree summers. It's been fully discharged many times when the glove box light stays on and the truck sits, with...

F250 / Superduty Ground Clearance Question

That's odd I have never had a Ford SD, but it seems they they should be able to clear 35" tires with little to no life due to their factory height, unless the wheel wells are very small. Currently 35" tires fit my stock height 2wd Dodge Ram, and only 4" of lift is required on an IFS Chevy. With...

    Dual battery

All the light truck diesels are wired parallel from the factory without any isolation devices, they have a dual battery setup to meet the CCA's needs of a diesel. A great isolation device is the Powergate as it allows charging without any noticeable voltage drop compared to battery isolators...

    Military Gear Stowage

Those adjustable mounts look pretty nice, does anyone know what they're called or if they are available through some suppler? The entire plate over that hood seems to be quite heavy, only being used for mounting four tools on a fiberglass hood.

    Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I have no idea how the valet system works, but I had the smartire one worked very well it's pretty handy at monitoring pressures and temperatures for all tires, additional sensors can be purchased for the spare tire and trailer tires. Many of the RV and trucking manufactures along with special...
